I came for dinner and left genuinely wondering if I should start living here permanently. From the moment we sat down in Bludorn’s buzzy Montrose dining room, it felt like the culinary gods (and maybe a few Michelin scouts) were smiling on our table.

Let’s get to the hits:

Seafood Tower – A bejeweled monument to ocean bounty. If seafood towers had crown jewels, this would be the crown. Briny, pristine, and served with a smile.

Caviar Service – Because sometimes you need tiny pearls of joy to remind you that life truly is delicious.

Dry Aged Duck – Crisp skin, rich flavor, and an aromatics profile that makes you nod at your dining partner like, “Yes. We are adults with excellent taste.”

Colorado Lamb – Tender with just enough gamey complexity to make even the most seasoned foodie raise an eyebrow and whisper, “Bravo.”

Smoked Prime Rib & Texas Wagyu Ribeye – Two massive meat moments that tasted like they’d been slow-dancing with smoke and butter all night. If there were Nobel Prizes for steak, Bludorn would sweep. (Texas wagyu? Yes please.)

Service was polished without being pretentious, like having a friend who also happens to be a walking encyclopedia of wine pairings and flavor theory.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that feels like a celebration every time the server places another plate down, Bludorn is your spot. I went for the food and stayed for the experience — 10/10, will return before my next existential crisis.

This was my first time trying Bludorn, and I celebrated my birthday here. I was really excited because I follow the owner’s culinary work and even had the chance to meet him months ago — he was genuinely kind! I love his creative approach to American cuisine.

The restaurant is beautiful with a warm, cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent — everyone was so attentive. The food was incredible! I had the short rib ravioli, and it was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor and attention to detail.

I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner. Absolutely no complaints! I will definitely be returning. ✨

Came here the Sunday after valentine. Reservation at 7:30pm, got sat around 7:45-7:50. Server was great, but seemed like he was on something.
We got the oysters that were phenomenal besides the one with spinach that wasn’t a good one and our portion did not come with crackers while every other table did. Not a big deal. We ordered the ravioli that was hands down amazing, but reminded me of a brisket sandwich from Bucee’s and the truffle spaghetti that was good, but lacking in flavor. We also shared the beef Wellington that was also pretty good, one of the highlights actually. Then to end off our dinner we ordered the alaskan that is worth the $22. Id say this place is great to try once, but not a repeat occurrence

Another excellent dinner at Bludorn! Our server British was fantastic and checked on us many times. We had the octopus as an appetizer which is one of our favorite bites in Houston. I had the Beef Wellington and my partner had the pork chops, both were excellent. And for the cherry on top of a great night, the neighborhood cat King gave us a sweet send off! We love Bludorn

Our Bluedorn experience was fantastic – their commitment to hospitality and service is something so unique here! It feels like literal secret agents of service are all around, working in unison to give a world class service experience. This mirrors what we experienced at their sister restaurant Perseid as well!

Their potato wedges were world class, and the snapper was fantastic. Short Rib ravioli was tasty as well – the kitchen view was awesome to see how everyone works to get the dish to the table. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another special occasion!

Just had the most amazing dinner at Bludorn. The oysters were incredible and so fresh. The wine was absolutely perfect with every course. We had the red snapper and each flavor was a blast of incredible that I honestly can’t even explain.

We finished with the Baked Alaska and the nitro carajillo, and it was the perfect ending to one of the best meals we’ve ever had. After 25 years in Houston, I think this might be the best dining experience we’ve had in the city.

Support local businesses and go try this place. Bludorn is easily one of the best restaurants in the country.

First off, I’d like to commend the restaurant for its delicious menu, particularly the smoked oysters and the oysters with bacon and spinach. They were absolutely fantastic, and I was thoroughly impressed with the culinary offerings.
However, I did have an unfortunate experience at the bar, which affected my overall impression of my visit. After enjoying an espresso martini, the bartender informed me that I would no longer be served. I appreciate the need for responsibility, but I felt that the decision was made hastily and without understanding. I was having a great time, just being my naturally happy and loud self, and definitely wasn’t intoxicated.
I felt that the bartender could have addressed the situation with more empathy and courtesy. Being approached in a manner that felt dismissive was disappointing, especially since my intention was to enjoy a good time with friends in the lively atmosphere your restaurant provides.
I truly enjoyed the food, and it was a shame that this incident clouded an otherwise great experience. Perhaps additional training for staff on how to gauge intoxication and engage with customers in a more positive manner could prevent future misunderstandings. I don’t think I’ll ever return.

We celebrated our anniversary at Bludorn, and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so special — every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was incredible — every dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. You can really feel the care and creativity that goes into everything they do. It was the perfect place to celebrate, and we left already talking about when we’ll come back!

Its a beautiful restaurant with great service. We came for brunch and ordered a few things. The oysters were delicious, my partner got the steak and eggs which he said was average..mostly because he felt the steak could be seasoned be. The short rib ravioli was not bad though a tad salty for my taste. We may come back to try their dinner menu another time but it was a bit underwhelming.

I recently visited this restaurant while staying the night across at the Thompson Houston by Hyatt and overall had a pleasant experience. The customer service was great—everyone was attentive, polite, and checked on us often. They do offer valet parking but if you don’t want to pay for valet you just gotta drive around and find parking.

As for the food, it was good but a bit pricey for what you get. We ordered the red snapper(43$), the pumpkin risotto(38$L) , and a handmade lemonade(5$) you also do get complimentary bread and herb butter which was good. The red snapper was cooked really well—crispy on the outside and tender inside. The risotto was flavorful and creamy, though it leaned more on the cheesy side; I didn’t really get much pumpkin flavor from it. The handmade lemonade was refreshing you’ll definitely feel the zing.

I’d still recommend trying this place at least once for the experience and to see if their style fits your taste. It’s worth a visit, especially for the service and ambiance, but just be prepared for the higher prices. They also don’t have a dress code which is fantastic.
