Would rate this place zero stars if I could. We had a semi-large party and they sat us at two separate tables. Our table’s sushi was served to the other table and they expected us to get up everytime we wanted the sushi that WE ordered. The owner did not offer to fix it and bring our food to OUR table. He brought us a spatula from the kitchen to transport our food. All of the toppings were falling off and not good at all. Absolutely ridiculous. The owner does not care about the customers or the quality of his food.

Out for a girls’ weekend, we had passed by this place earlier during the day and noticed it was packed. We all know that’s a good sign, right? So, we decided to stop in rather late that night for dinner and drinks. Luckily, the kitchen was still open! The bartender and our server (the sweetest girl ever visiting from Romania) were wonderful.
The Blueberry mules were delicious! Our late night dinners consisted of some pretty amazing birria tacos and Colorado Nachos. We also couldn’t resist dessert to go and let me tell you…don’t pass up on that cheesecake flight!

Owner is very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Our party took up two tables and all of our sushi was served on one plate. Instead of taking the tray back and taking accountability, we were handed plates, spatulas, and tongs to plate our food ourselves from the other table. All of our food came out at different times leaving our party waiting for each other to finish eating. -100/10 recommend.

This was our first time at the restaurant, though we frequent Ludington often. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. We were seated immediately, but Noone came to our table for 25 minutes to even take drink orders. 2 people in our party tried to get someone to assist us and were just blown off. We ordered appetizers and meals. The food came out all at once. 2 people in our party of 6 did not receive their food and once again, after most of the people had food for 15 minutes, we had to seek help from another server to get to their food. Then, their appetizer arrived an additional 10 minutes AFTER their food which was already late. Drink refills were not a thought. The food was mediocre, at best.
The atmosphere was lovely, but not enough to return.
The staff were friendly, but this is not enough to return. I hope this was a fluke. 🙁

It was both great and just okay.
The great: Sushi was fantastic! Great presentation and tasting! Prices were right about expected. Atmosphere was also great! Tables were clean, lighting was awesome and just the all around vibe was very comfortable
The just okay: took a long time to even be greeted, let alone seated. Once seated the waitress was not very personable/engaging.
I did like the food, and get that sometimes people just have off nights, dealing with things etc… so I’ll definitely be giving them another go here in the near future

Food was fantastic and presentation perfect!! Only reason for 4 stars, we were forgotten till I went up to the hostess. The service and waitress after that was superb. The sushi was amazing and the fish and burrito was great too. I thought it was worth the money but my fiance doesn’t agreeing with me.

Took a quick drive to Ludington and had a great sushi dinner. Delicious sushi and Jesse M provided terrific service. Best restaurant in Ludington. The spicy seaweed salad is definitely spicy but really good.

I wanted to enjoy a romantic new years day dinner with my sweetheart and the experience was a massive let down. This review is not a slight against the service we received, as our server was a nice young man who checked in with us about our needs. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it did not feel inviting in the least, it was extremely cold (as in not heated) and not welcoming atmosphere wise. The young woman who seated us in the restaurant took a nap across from us while she was rolling silverware. I understand that folks are tired from their new years festivities the night before but you would figure opening at 5pm would remedy some of that. Our food we received was a massive disappointment as well, I ordered the pot roast which was on the level of something I could have made in the crock pot at home with an au jus packet. My sweetheart had the bourbon chicken and it looked like a meal from Panda Express and tasted burnt. I was really excited to try this place based on what my sweetheart was telling me but I don’t think we will be back based on the disappointment of an experience.

Our time at Blu Moon was nothing short of amazing. We got the Spicy Tuna rolls, Vegas Rolls, and the Laotion Pasta Bowl. Our drinks were Mango & Pomegranate Martinis. They were all very good, especially the Vegas Rolls! So awesome that they offer sushi but it’s not there entire menu. Atmosphere was perfect for our anniversary and service was very smooth. Our waitress tended to us quickly and was very friendly. Highly recommend eating here!
