Had the brunch carbonara and service is way too slow. The dish itself tasted pretty unique with bacon, poached eggs and basil pesto with some arborio rice.

Yum, yum, and yum! I started with the rose matcha, and then I had the Florentine Benedict. Both were absolutely delicious, and even the water was served with lemon and mints all around a great breakfast place. They also have outdoor seating.

All 4 of us were very impressed at the first bite. Well prepared and succulent dishes framed with artistic presentation holding hands with a rich flavored cup of coffee. Undecided what to choose from the beginning after scrutinized that attractive and colorful menu, but in reality, every item is a good choice.

I always love the food. This was the first time at the Brentwood/Santa Monica location. It was fairly easy to order. The staff was helpful even when returning a coffee cup. No one checked it before releasing and there was a pink lipstick stain on the cup which made me a little nervous about dish washing. Nevertheless, the open faced omelet and crunchy French toast were so good. I didn’t get a good crunch French toast picture. I forgot to do it before splitting it to share. I don’t think I do it justice, It tasted delicious.

Almost 100 bucks for breakfast and no service. bartender was nowhere to be found, food was a 2 out of 10 had to ask for water, then had to ask for ice in my water, then got a plastic water bottle with a mint tree and a lemon in it… overpriced, service was basically non existent, and you have to pay for all your food and drinks(on your phone)
before they even come out!!
That’s the kicker! I get that everybody wants to computerize everything now, but you can’t replace friendly service or a waitstaff with a computer or a QR code on the bartop
A little human interaction is not gonna kill you.

I’ve been going to Blu Jam for years. The quality of the food is still good but not as good as it was years ago. Service is almost non existent now, they have “self-service” stations but still requests tips. Atmosphere is nice, a lot more space than the original blu jam spot.

We popped in for breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning. We were seated right away which was nice because we were hungry. My daughter ordered off the kids menu, the crepe, and she enjoyed it. It was her 1st time having it, she was hoping for pancakes, but she was happy with her choice. The crunchy French toast was delicious, my daughter enjoyed it and shared my plate with me. We had a side of bacon and I enjoyed a mimosa. I’m withholding one star because we ordered from the QR code and it took a few times to input my credit card which was annoying. We also left a 18% tip and the server only dropped off the food vs provided any service.

When visiting this brunch spot, you’ll find an ambiance that’s fairly standard for such places. As with many similar spots, ordering happens at the counter or via a QR code. The shakshuka, while good, doesn’t necessarily offer any surprising twists. It’s a decent dish without too much flair.

The staff here are friendly and accommodating, adding a welcoming touch to the experience. Plus, it’s convenient that they offer parking validation, making it easier for customers.

Checking out reviews beforehand certainly helps in understanding the process and what to expect. From the information gathered, it’s clear that this spot operates in a straightforward manner with no standout features in terms of ambiance or culinary creativity. Overall, it’s a decent place to grab a meal, particularly if you’re in the mood for something familiar and satisfying.
