Blü Dragonfly Brewing in Cimarron is a tap room for Blu Dragonfly Brewing located in scenic Cimarron, New Mexico, also known as the home to Philmont Scout Ranch. Our craft beers range from creative American, German, and British style lagers and ales. Traditional beers like Oktoberfest, Munich Dunkel, Belgian Wit, and our New Mexico-centric ones like Biscohito Stout and Hatch Chile Amber brewed with New Mexico green chiles. Blü Dragonfly Brewing is a family-friendly place and we have craft sodas for those not quite old enough to enjoy our beers. Our menu consists of Texas-style BBQ, burgers, and comfort food. Prost!

We were passing through on the way to Angel Fire and saw this place on google. The food is fantastic!!! We were all blown away with how good the food was. There were 6 adults and three kids and we all loved our food and the beverages! My kids grill cheese was a gourmet grill cheese and one of the best I have ever eaten! Get the green chili sauce on the side, it’s like gravy and so yummy!!

We stopped here to meet family and it was absolutely fantastic!! The hot dogs were so good, my kids ate two!! The service was fast and the food was good. The restrooms were clean and the cider was cold! The customer service was fantastic!! I highly recommend!! Great outdoor space that was perfect for kids and dogs!!

We stopped here after getting off of our Philmont trek. Friendly service and good food. It may look like basic, but it is amazing. There is so much good sounding stuff on the Menu it is hard to decide what to pick. We had one scout traveling with us who has food allergies and they had no problem with him bringing in his own food to eat.

What amazing hot dogs! We sat in the patio because we had our dog and without even asking they came out to greet hi, and give him water. They treated us like royalty. We ordered the Havanese, with pulled pork, the Frida something, which was kinda Frito pie hot dog, and another that had blue cheese and bacon. I don’t remember the names, but they were so good. This is what they are talking about when food network people say there’s different layers of flavor. Not to mention the beers were great!

Staying in Cimarron and needed a meal. Very friendly owners, simple menu well done, tried two beers, an English bitter and a green chile amber (rich and tasty, not spicy). Get the house made green chile with your burger. Burgers, a chicken sandwich and a few sides (I had a tasty pasta salad). Simple, wholesome, fun place.

Honestly, there isn’t much to do in Cimarron. Fortunately, Blü Dragonfly helps to alleviate the boredom. They serve hot dogs/brats which is appreciated. This is a brewery, just don’t expect amazing beers. What I had was average at best with one being fairly awful. But I do appreciate them being here. At least you have the option in Cimarron of not drinking Coors, Bud, Miller and such.

As for BBQ, you can just forget it. Dry, no sauce, burnt edges of meat. On slices of dry bun. SO this is what you brought from Oklahoma to New Mexico so that you could make money on all the Texans driving by? Quite a farce! On top of which your vacant stares when we point out that your signage outside uses derogatory and racist language kinda says it all. Or perhaps it’s your middle of the road beers. SO sad. Don’t bother wasting your money or time here.

Very cozy little brewpub in Cimarron–and by cozy I mean it’s basically someone’s backyard. But it’s pretty much the only game in town for freshly brewed beer and the beer is worth the visit.

Best keep secret MUST be visited. GREAT BEER- GREAT FOOD- and THE BEST WAITRESS EVER! We had the best time ever eating and enjoying a few beers. Met some really cool locals who hung out with us later.
