The food is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish is vibrant and full of authentic flavor—from the rich, aromatic curries to the fresh, pillowy naan and perfectly grilled tandoori dishes. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each plate. The presentation is beautiful, and the portion sizes are generous without compromising on refinement.
Blu Basil isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place that leaves you already planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal. Hudson is lucky to have such a culinary treasure!
usually worth it cuz the food is great. Clean restrooms this is usually a point of contention for me because so many places don’t keep their restrooms up very nice.
Dining area is not huge but clean and tidy. Clean restrooms. There is a bar area right near the entry. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes are on the menu.
The owner here is a very friendly person with excellent conversational skills. Over all it was a memorable lunch with laughter. Thank you .
The place looks like a family owned eatery. Staff is polite and premises tidy. We like their food but find the all-Blue-Violet lighting somewhat jarring (strictly a personal thing; maybe it strikes a chord with other diners); so we stick to takeout.
[Disclaimer: the review is about vegetarian part of offering]
The veggie spread is decent. Mostly paneer (cottage cheese) focused. Infusion of seasonal vegetables might be a step-up to consider. ‘Malai Kofta’ stands out. As does ‘Kashmiri Naan’. On two separate occasions, the takeout boxes remained red-stained even after washing; raising suspicion about any food coloring being used…. needlessly.
We do miss that they are closed Mondays, and that ‘Lachha Paratha’ is not available, even off menu.
Furthermore, the hygiene standards of the establishment were subpar during the evening, when the temperature outside was 25 degrees Celsius. Multiple houseflies were observed roaming around the food, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.
