I love the gigantic common table that spans the length of the dining room. Expect to share the table with others. Make a friend! Or if you need privacy, they have 7 or 8 outdoor picnic benches that can sit 4. On cold nights, the outdoor heat lamps and hot pho are a perfect combo. And make sure to share an order of imperial rolls to start. You must have the combo Pho rice noodle soup. The Bun noodle salad is perfect for hot summer days & nights. The rice dishes, especially the shaken beef and pork chop dishes are excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t fully enjoy the pork belly Mi (egg noodles) that much, but the pork belly was soft and flavorful. Like the crepe, maybe its great compared to other VN restaurants but the star is the Pho rice noodle soup.
They also have a nice selection of wine, sake and beer, which gives Blossom a higher-end vibe.
The pho selection is extensive, extending beyond the basics to include rarer options like oxtail and wagyu. While most dishes are satisfying and thoughtfully prepared, the pricing does sit noticeably on the higher side. Even so, the combination of hospitality, atmosphere, and well-executed dishes makes this a welcome neighborhood spot.
When the pork belly egg noodles finally arrived, the egg was fully cooked (hard-boiled) and the pork belly was overcooked and very tough — again, not edible. I don’t know what was going on in the kitchen that day, but between the food quality and the service, the experience was really disappointing. We won’t be coming back.
Service was slow, inattentive easily confused and seemed to get orders wrong. The food is bland, boring and doesn’t have the right flavors. I wasn’t expecting authentic Vietnamese food in West LA but it just completely misses the mark. Not even worth it for take out. Oddly the wine selection was better than you’d expect. Prices are high for what you get. Overall not worth trying even if desperate for Vietnamese food.
Stumbled upon this and am so glad we went in!
Photos of almost everything we ordered. Definitely great portions to share and enjoy for appetizers. It was my first time having a Vietnamese crepe and I’m so happy I had it here! Spring rolls always slap so you knowwww that had to happen!
The pho. I can’t even begin to explain and let you understand the flavorsssss. Wow. Please go and enjoy.
Very average food, bland vegetarian soup and broth. Also only came with like 2 mushrooms and 2 carrots. Mostly just a ton of noddles and bland soup. Not worth the price. We also expected the bo bun to have meat or veggies but it was just 2 spring rolls with noddles. Very bland as well. Service was below average. Overall not a pleasant dining experience.
