We got 1 blosom signature roll, 2 baked salmon rolls, and 1 spider roll. Everything smelled AWESOME! It was one of the best sushi I had. The spider roll had this crab in it. Soft shell crab or blue crab. It was cool and refreshing. The blosom roll was warm and filling. The crabmeat was ON POINT. It was spectacular. The baked salmon rolls were really good! It was very tasty. It was filling. Everything we had here was delicious!!! The service here was awesome. They were nice and kind. The atmosphere was chill. It was quite quiet and the music playing faintly set the chillness. Overall, I had an awesome time here and will for sure come again! 🙂

Fresh ingredients and generous portions! The sushi tasted clean and well-balanced, and the salmon avocado salad was refreshing. Cozy casual vibe—perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends.

Love this restaurant! Exceptional service, quality food & overall an amazing experience!!
They have all day happy hour weekdays and weekends(food and alcohol). Also they have free parking which is so rare these days.

I’ve tried a variety of things from here and everything was delicious.

Their chicken karaage, agedashi tofu and garlic edamame are the perfect appetizers to start with.

From the rolls my favorites are the San Pedro roll, Hawaiian roll & baked salmon roll.

SAN PEDRO ROLL: This has spicy tuna, avocado, crunchy shrimp tempura roll with eel sauce and spicy mayo. Highly recommend!

HAWAIIAN ROLL: Fresh tuna on top of a spicy tuna roll with a ponzu& mustard vinaigrette topped with masago& green onion. So refreshing and not too heavy.

BAKED SALMON ROLL: Baked salmon with mayo on top of a California roll with eel sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a flavor of explosion!

Their zaru soba is sooo yummy as well! You definitely need to try this place!!!

Hidden gem in Koreatown!
Blosom Japanese Restaurant has great sushi rolls—fresh, generous portions, and the second roll is half price. Highly recommend the Blosom Signature, Bake Salmon, Rainbow, and Hawaii rolls.

The tuna sashimi is super fresh (make sure to check the add-on menu), and the salmon salad is light and refreshing. Beef bowl is filling, and the unagi bowl is perfect if you love eel.

Prices are reasonable, food quality is excellent, and it’s not overcrowded. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Blosom Japanese Restaurant! The clam soba was rich and flavorful — the broth had incredible depth and the clams were perfectly cooked. I also tried the yellowtail sashimi, which was impressively fresh and practically melted in my mouth. The deep-fried roll was crispy on the outside, packed with flavor, and not greasy at all. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and quality ingredients — I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Bad impression. The ramen was super bland. You see one price on the menu and then a different price on the bill. The menu shows 5 pc takoyaki and you get served 3 (the waiter confirmed this is a correct serving). The sushi tasted ok but there are definitely better places out there that don’t use such shady practices.

I am so surprised to see so many good reviews. Too pricey for the lack of care and flavor in the food.
Friendly service though!

My first visit, I ordered the Katsu plate. The menu price is $21.50. The next visit, I got a ~$20 (before add-ons) bowl of ramen that had absolutely zero flavor. The broth was warm (not hot) and the ingredients weren’t warm at all. When my soup arrived, it was missing some of the ingredients and they didn’t mention that they were out of them until I asked about it. They charged me for adding veggies but didn’t discount my bill for the ingredients/toppings that they were out of.

Disappointing because it’s so close to my house but it’s just not worth it, unfortunately

Another Hidden Japanese Gem Near DTLA Found

Just discovered another affordable and delicious Japanese spot near DTLA
I originally came for their signature ramen, but ended up ordering a bunch of sushi and sashimi too. Average spend is just $20+ per person, and you can go as fancy or simple as you like. Tasty and budget-friendly!

I love the self-ordering tablet at the table — perfect for us introverts who like to take our time with the menu The staff are super friendly, and best of all, the food comes out really fast! Great option even if you’re in a rush.

Here are my top picks :

Volcano Cheese Ramen – This one’s actually spicy!! ️ So many ramen places have a “spicy” broth that just looks red but tastes mild. Here, even with the rich melted cheese, the heat still kicks in — the stretchy cheese with the noodles is next-level satisfying (You can fully customize your ramen — toppings, spice level, etc.)

Rainbow Roll – A lifesaver for the indecisive! A classic, can’t-go-wrong choice. Love the sauce flavor.

Salmon Sashimi – My must-order for any Japanese meal! Fresh, high-quality, and surprisingly affordable.

Shrimp Tempura – Fried to perfection. You can smell that delicious aroma the moment it hits the table. Crispy, light, and not greasy!
