Most delicious food we have experienced in Raleigh. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Owner/chef came to great us personally. By far the best part of our honeymoon. We will definitely return and will recommend Bloomsbury Bistro to everyone.

This was my first time in here, my wife and I just dropped into the bar for dessert. Bloomsbury has a good vibe. Business casual to casual dressy neighborhood restaurant thing going on. Nice selection of booze behind the bar. The bartender was nice, attentive, and helpful with the menu. We ended up ordering goat cheese bread pudding, which I admit sounds unnecessarily fancy, but it was delicious. Just tasted like perfect bread pudding. The addition of the goat cheese just gave it a subtle tangy flavor. So good. I will definitely be coming back in for dinner.

I had a disappointing dining experience at this establishment. Unfortunately, the butter was served frozen, which was quite inconvenient. Moreover, I had to wait for an extended period of time before my drink was refilled, which was frustrating. The soup was served cold and had an unpleasant taste. The chicken pie was a disappointment as well, as it had an unappetizing combination of chicken and wheat, both in appearance and flavor. Additionally, the cauliflower was undercooked and raw. Overall, I would not recommend this place in Raleigh. Instead, I suggest trying either Capital Grill or Rey’s, as they provide a far superior dining experience.

The Deviled Eggs are the winner alongside their service and fresh bread. Enjoyed our visit and had fantastic service.

We ate here after winning a gift card from a school auction. The food was great. We enjoyed the flavor combinations of our dishes. The crab cake was plump and fresh. The deviled eggs with salmon were good. We like the scallops and the pork. The owner personally came to the table to ensure our dining experience was going well. We love supporting local!

Ate here the other evening with my husband and we had a wonderful experience. Excellent choice if you’re looking for an upscale restaurant in the area.

This was some of the best service that I have had in Raleigh. White table cloths and the servers dressed in black with aprons. They have a wine menu that seemed reasonably priced. I ordered the Martian cocktail from their drink menu- it was not great. The food overall was a bit of a miss- the crab Bao buns were crispy and you only got a very small portion compared to other things. The menu seems to be all over the place- we had Tuna- the vegetables and rice with it were great but the tuna was not. and the Chicken Pot pie- the dough was almost raw in the middle (we were told it would take 20 minutes which was fine) and the chicken was quite dry and not cooked within the gravy. I wanted to give this a better rating and it would have been a 3 stars it is hadn’t have been for the service- the service really was great.

A round of applause for hands down the best & most unique meatloaf in the South! I’ve had my eye on Bloomsbury for a few years and was blessed to finally dine this weekend. Owner Steve & Chef Luis have truly outdone themselves with this gem. This experience was well worth the wait and they have a customer for life.

Unpretentious high end gem tucked away between two of five points’ streets just off the convergence. Curated menu of items done perfectly. Excellent service. Outdoor seating. We had the trout and mahi, and fought over them as they were equally fantastic. Deviled eggs appetizer was delicious as was crème brûlée and toffee pudding for dessert. Will return!
