The decor is beautiful. The staff were friendly. We went on a Jazz Thursday night. The trio playing was fantastic, very enjoyable.
To start off we ordered cocktails. I had the I Dream in Color, which I loved. It was well balanced perfection. Tom had the Garden of Eden, which he felt was too tart.
As an appetizer, we shared the grilled artichokes. They were well seasoned and tender, an absolute delight. We agreed this was the best dish of the night for both of us.
For our main courses, Tom had the short rib burger with Truffle fries. The burger was very good although there was no discernible au just gravy as mentioned on the menu, it came with ketchup and mayo. It could have been improved with the au just gravy. The truffle fries were great, hot and crispy outside, soft and ‘fluffy’ inside. I had the braised short rib as an entree. It was just ok. The whipped mashed potatoes were way too cold. As for the short rib, although the outer edges were very good, once you got past the edges, the inner part was way too dry to eat. Tom loved the crispy and carmelized brussel sprouts. In addition, we ordered a side of grilled asparagus, which I thought was delicious.
For dessert, we split the Bananas Foster. Loved it, the carmelized bananas were delicious.
Although we were disappointed with a few items ordered, we will definitely give it a second shot.
I was really impressed with the meal overall. The service was great, and the manager or owner was super friendly. The restaurant itself has a lovely charm, and I especially liked the flowers and the swing, which is a cute touch for photos.
But the real star was the food. It would’ve been five stars if the pasta had been al dente and the chicken pops a bit juicier. Just 30 seconds less cooking time would’ve made a big difference.
The scallops could’ve used a slightly harder sear, but they were cooked perfectly inside, and the risotto was spot on.
The lobster pappardelle was delicious, though the pasta was just a bit overcooked. We’re talking 30 seconds, but with fresh pasta, that really matters.
The beet salad was solid, nothing amazing, but good. The grilled artichokes were fantastic, though. The chicken wings were a little overdone, which is tough to do with wings. They also didn’t look quite like the photos I’d seen before, but they still tasted pretty good.
All in all, it was a great meal. I’d definitely go back.
What really stood out was the service. The team was incredibly gracious and accommodating with substitutions, especially if you don’t eat certain things. No attitude, no stress, just kindness and flexibility. It made the whole experience feel even more thoughtful. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our visit and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!
We recently hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Bloom Botanical Bistro, and it was truly an unforgettable experience!
A huge thank you to Mario & Alfred, the wonderful owners, for providing such an incredible space for special occasions. The venue is beautiful, the atmosphere warm and inviting – perfect for a celebration.
The food was absolutely delicious and affordable, and the open bar was a fantastic touch that our guests really enjoyed.
Special shout-out to Tom the manager for his professionalism and dedication in making sure everything ran smoothly. And of course, kudos to the entire staff – friendly, attentive, and so welcoming. You all made us feel right at home.
If you’re planning a special event in NYC, I highly recommend Bloom Botanical Bistro. Thank you for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime

I visited this restaurant on Mother’s day with my elderly mother , my sister-in-law and her 7 month old son ( I called to make sure the restaurant was child friendly before I made a reservation and right before I came)
I made reservations for 5:30 PM , I arrived at around 5:25 PM – We we’re told that we had to wait around 10 minutes for a table to be ready – after around 8 times of checking and relating that there is an elderly woman in my party as a 7 month old baby – WE WERE SEATED AT 6:17 PM!
The waitress came to our table at 6:45 PM and after literally begging for our food we got served roughly around 7:43 – With no utensils – I was in utter disbelief at what was happening.
I have never received such pissed poor service!
The food was 6.5 out of 10 .
I had better expectations for this spot to be very honest.
I understand completely that the waiters/waitress were overwhelmed being it was Mother’s Day but what I don’t quite understand is that why did management continue to keep accepting bookings and not respecting someone’s reservation.
To have to wait one hour to be seated at a table and then another hour to get served is beyond unacceptable
This isn’t a spot I would revisit in the future.
