Bloom Baking Company has been providing Kansas City with scratch-made breads, danish, cakes and pastries since 2010. We also offer a full lunch menu every day, offering breakfast and lunch catering, and daily delivery of our pastries and sandwiches. Many of the recipes used daily have been handed down over many decades of baking. We are proud to be one of Kansas City’s premier bakeries and strive to provide products with the highest quality ingredients, always made fresh here in our bakery.

Bloom baking company was so useful for my sisters bridal shower! I ordered 26 macaroons and they did not disappoint. They were customized flavor and color for what I needed. Bloom baking was super easy to work with and took all my requests. They even made a cotton candy flavor macaroon for us. I typically don’t like macaroons but they completely changed my opinion on that. They were fresh, flavorful, and beautiful! Will definitely be using Bloom baking again for any party needs. 10/10!

My husband and I stopped in at the end of October during a weekday evening for a snack. It wasn’t busy at this time. The shop was filled with fresh bread and pastries.
We chose a caramel apple pastry, and a tomato and goat cheese turnover-type item (sorry, I can’t remember the actual names). Omg, these were so good, especially the tomato and cheese one. I don’t know what seasoning they used on it, but it was so flavorful, and I loved the flakiness of the bread. I wasn’t sure I’d like the apple one, but it was also incredibly delicious, and you can tell they made the pie filling.
They were seven to eight bucks a piece, so this was kinda pricey for us, but it seems comparable to any other bakery.

Everything I have gotten has been fabulous! The Turkey Pesto Panini is my favorite! So many levels of flavor, textures and amazing flavor! I would highly recommend tj as a choice for your baked goods, sandwiches, breads.

We felt so silly running all over Kansas City tasting cakes when Bloom was right around the corner from us the whole time! As beautiful as it was delicious, our 2-tiered wedding cake & dessert bar was conceptualized & baked by Bloom Baking Company. Our dessert bar included: mini tarts, macarons, brownies & lemon bars. Cake tastings are $25 & goes towards the price of the cake. After inquiring online & our tasting, Sarah quickly set-up an in-person meeting to review our ideas, make suggestions & put together an invoice. Sarah & her team were incredibly thoughtful & considerate of both our desires & budget. Thank you Bloom Baking Company for creating such a delightful dessert experience for us & our guests. Not a bite went to waste! Our only regret is not ordering more! Looking forward to the next time I can taste Bloom!

It’s difficult to make a frosting that stands up and tastes great at the same time, the cream cheese is very successful at this. The raspberry frosting has great raspberry flavor, unfortunately it also has a distinct flavor of vegetable oil (crisco). Maybe a little less frosting would help. I know the raspberry jam definitely helps ❣️

I was excited to try this place, as I love me some sweet treats but was left heavily disappointed. The atmosphere is cute and the service was decent but the quality and taste in food was under par. I had gotten 3 oatmeal raisin cookies (my favorite cookie) and a bread pudding (one of my favorite desserts). The oatmeal raisin cookies were bland with little to no flavor, lacking that either soft or hard cookie texture, it was crumbly and fell apart while eating. The bread pudding lacked flavor as well. It is served to you cold in a tin muffin pan with no heating instructions. For a $10 dessert you’d hope they’d tell you how to prepare it properly since they don’t bother to offer to heat it for you. Disappointed to say the least.

Updating review: the past few times I’ve gone they have really improved how much they are putting on it. The macaroons are simply amazing as well. I love supporting this local bakery!
Old: I have eaten from this bakery multiple times. The first time was amazing but the last few times they have put almost no chicken salad on the croissant. I will say that the small amount they do put on is very delicious but for a ten dollar sandwich it’s not worth it.

I went to your bakery at MCI, paid for a large latte and burrito. Your espresso machine is broken and the milk didn’t steam. We waited 15 minutes and still no hot milk. I had to leave to board my flight. No latte and out ~$6 for a large. If you can’t keep your equipment running, you should not advertise espresso made drinks. Terrible service!

I love this place! The croissants are amazingly crafted and they often have different flavored tarts that are wonderful as well. Everything is reasonably priced, the shop is cute, and the staff are beyond kind!!!

The girl at the counter was really nice. She seemed busy, but was still very pleasant. I got 4 cupcakes and 2 creme brulee, and the cost was $29.00 and some change. It is VERY pricey for cupcakes and creme brulees that are not big at all. The cupcakes were NOT good, they were SO dense. I threw all of them away, it was so hard to swallow. The carrot cake cupcakes tasted of so much spice that it over powered the carrot and cream cheese frosting. The vanilla cupcake just tasted bland and had a weird after taste. The frosting was so thick. We didn’t even want to try the strawberry one. That being said, the creme brulees were delicious. They are very small though, but had really good consistency and the tops were perfectly scorched. If I were to come back, it would only be for the creme brulee and nothing else. A little pricey for cupcakes that were small and not good.
