Thankfully we were blessed with perfect weather to dine al fresco. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food. Highly recommend the caviar with the oysters and The Lazyman Lobster! The key lime pie was also one of the best I’ve ever had!

We visited the Oyster Bar and Grill in the beginning of September. The atmosphere was set on a open lawn with beautiful views and free roaming chickens.
We have recently moved from Australia to America and this was by far the nicest meal we’ve had.
Our server Sydney was very welcoming and gave wonderful recommendations. We shared a bunch of different starters which we recommend as they were all mouth watering.
We had the oysters Thermidorian (10/10) which were creamy, full of flavor and the lobster on top melted on your tongue.
The lobster bisque was buttery, and the scallops with candied pancetta on top of apple was my personal favorite.
All around a must visit when coming to visit.

Dinner was with 9 people. Nice upscale place. Enchanting environment with lights and great outdoor views. We got a bunch of appetizers to share, such as the stuffed portabello, stuffed clams, bread basket, and tuna tacos, lamb lollipops. They were all great. Nice seasonings, and good for sharing. For the entré I got the strawberry salad with steak strips. The salad portion was amazing

My boyfriend and I recently visited block Island and decided to try this restaurant because they had great ratings. Upon arrival the hostess was kind and allowed us to sit outside despite not having a reservation. Our server on the other hand was condescending and did not take us seriously. For context my boyfriend and I are a young African American couple. The server brought us out drinks that were sour and when we asked if they could be remade she just said she would bring us a side if simple syrup. By the time she got back the drinks were watered down. My boyfriend and I are both servers at 5 star steakhouses so I would expect a restaurant of this caliber to simply remake a drink. The manager had a very hostile vive towards us and we did not feel welcomed. The food was good but bot worth the feeling of being unwanted. Will not return.

Made reservations ahead of time. Plenty of room for dinner. No cocktail menu but they will make whatever you like. Got a blackberry mojito and red sangria. Both quite tasty. Everything ciabatta rolls with orange zested butter tasted great. Got the lamb lollipops and the pan seared scallops for apps, both tastes amazing. Picked the miso glazed cod and the swordfish dish….awesome!!! Finished off the evening with the caramel cheesecake and cappuccinos. Cappuccinos were barely warm (didn’t steam the milk long enough to heat it up). Fresh whooped cream with the cheesecake and Carmel that didn’t taste like butterscotch…awesome. Service was great from the staff. Presentations were great. Would definitely come here again on our next visit to Block Island.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner here, sitting out in the garden. The setting was unbelievably gorgeous and serene – photos don’t do it any justice. Service was great, and food was delicious. Everything was very refined, it’s the perfect spot for a special occasion. We had the miso glazed cod, which was our favorite – and the seafood cioppino soup, which was good too. We also had oysters, which were excellent. The mains were on the pricier side (mostly around $35-45), but the portions were big. Drinks were good too, if not a little strong. We will absolutely return here next time we’re on Block Island.

Listen, I don’t write a lot of reviews because there aren’t too many places with reviewing beyond saying “this is good” or “avoid this”. This place is worth the high price tag. Ate there twice, every item from appetizer to dessert and drinks was excellent. The location is fantastic as well in the ground level of the Mannessee, try to have dinner outside on the patio by the fountain, the night lighting is excellent. Great live music as well on one of the nights we went.

Our waiter, Mitchell was incredible, very reassuring of all of our selections and guided us through the dinner in an unhurried and relaxed way. He anticipated every need without hovering.
The Seared Tuna tacos were out of this world! It was one of those appetizers you wished you had ordered two of. The oysters were delicious, and the cocktails were perfect. The pear & sage martini was a great choice, but with so many of the ingredients made in house using fresh fruit/herbs you really can’t go wrong with any of them.
Bonus- our child was able to make friends with some of the other kids and spent time playing in the grassy space nearby while we snacked on appetizers.

Food was fantastic and clearly fresh – atmosphere is a bit dated – but that may be what they are going for – but who cares about atmosphere when you’re eating delicious food!
