My tip: Go for mastercur ribeye. I don’t have a pic but it was the best meat I ate there.

Great restaurant. Good menu and really good food. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The jacket potato and garlic bread it comes with were delicious and the fresh crispy salad to start. Simple, good food.

My favorite place for a really good steak in Berlin. The service is warm and attentive, the salads are crisp, the garlic bread is absurdly good, and the French onion soup tastes like something out of a cozy American steakhouse in the best possible way.
The baked potatoes are perfect — especially with that extra scoop of homemade sour cream they somehow know to bring halfway through the meal, which always feels like a small act of kindness. And the steaks are consistently great, cooked exactly as you hope they’ll be.
For what it’s worth, I’ve found their “medium” leans closer to medium-rare — basically perfect, and just how they recommend it.
The whole place feels a little like home: comfortable, unfussy, quietly generous. I wouldn’t change a thing.

We arrived 45 mins before the kitchen was to close, which I guess was a big problem because were rushed and ignored.
No one expects fine dining when eating at Block House, you go because you know what you’re going to get – it will be comforting and delicious.
After ording our starters came fast, way too fast, before our drinks were on the table. But you better believe before we were even done our meals they were asking to clear our plates. Forget dessert or coffee. No one asked.
It was a little too obvious they wanted us (and every other guest in the place too).
During dinner we couldn’t find anyone to order more drinks from, had to get up from our table twice to ask for a second round of drinks, I had to find someone to get a knife that wasn’t dull, and were scolded when we ordered more sour cream because the kitchen was closed. No one told us this to begin with.
My steak was undercooked, but knowing the kitchen was “closed” and how angry the server seemed with us – I ate it anyway.
We felt rushed and like we were not welcome. We were respectful, spoke German (my partner is german), and tried to be understaning. But when we left, we realized, we really had a bad time. Which is unfortunate because for us going to Block Huose is a fun tradition.
That was all together a bit too much for me 🙁

One of the best steak houses in Germany! T-bone steak for 2 people was delicious. You get a big salad first with a choice of dressings and a potato with sour cream and bread with the steak.

Cracking meal. Steak was cooked superb and nice sides. Beer was good, though not much choice, went for the wheat beer, was a good choice.
Ill eat here again for sure.
Staff were great too. Realised I was English so brought out an English menu, although I was happy to try reading the German that was a nice touch. Looks like they do takeaway too. What a time to be alive.
On the whole I would encourage anyone to drop in for their evening meal. You wont be disappointed.
