My best friend and I went here for brunch and while the atmosphere was great, the food fell short, especially for the price.
My friend and I were looking at the appetizers and couldn’t decide between the honey buttermilk biscuit or the crabcakes. Both fell short, considering —
A.) There was a single biscuit in a small skillet plate that was supposed to be shared between my friend and I. We thought it was a joke, but it was not, this biscuit cost $20 and tasted like something I could’ve made at home for 2.99 (see picture)
B.) The crabcakes were also equally as small and it was described as a dip, but was just super confusing and again not worth almost $30 for this small unsharable item.
I really like the chicken and waffles that I got. But again nothing to rave about, the food is just OK. My friend got the catfish and grits… and again, it was just OK.
Not really a complaint, but just some confusion. We went to split the bill and my server said they don’t do split checks. They only do separate payments? My friend and I were both able to put our cards down and decide what amount we want to be charged but… Isn’t that the same as just getting your own check and only paying for the things you purchased? I don’t know, confusing and didn’t make sense.
Overall, the restaurant is really cute and I love the decor. The DJ was definitely playing some throwbacks that my friend and I loved so much. But the food and the price for the food, just doesn’t seem worth it.

So last night I went here for a birthday dinner atmosphere was beautiful service was wonderful. I got a smashburger with fries and a appetizer of the cheesesteak spring rolls and a strawberry margarita the food was good and very small portions. Also definitely pricey. The only thing I was disappointed about I didn’t know we had to pay for the water 11 dollars( seen in the picture below) so just get tap water when they ask . I would say differently check it out. They don’t split checks.

Today is my sister’s 45th birthday and we went out to celebrate her, I absolutely love the atmosphere of Black Excellence and elegance , there’s beautifully painted silloettes on the walls, pictures of our Black legends and icons and the DJ is fire. The hospitality staff are top tier and the black walls and chandeliers add a sophisticated ambience. Can we work on the food portions and drinks though? It’s pricey but worth it !

Great experience at this establishment. Food was delicious, the lobster pizza was a MUST try and didn’t disappoint but the cinnamon roll was probably the best I’ve ever had. I ate it so fast I missed out on the pic opportunity . Overall, great Service, banging food. If in the area I would definitely stop by.

I highly recommend you do NOT eat here. I came for my anniversary and did the 4 for $40. The appetizers we ordered (rib eye steak bites & old bay honey wings) were mid at best. The rib eye steak bites were cold and the old bay wings were unseasoned, just thrown in sauce. We ordered the rib eye steak sandwiches. They were TERRIBLE!! It didn’t even look appealing. the cheese was unmelted and they gave the tiniest piece of steak on stale white bread. Our fries were undercooked and under portioned. I would not recommend and will never be back. On top of that, we sent our food back and asked to just pay for our appetizers. The manager refused saying he could not “overwrite” the system. We paid $90 for 2 glasses of wine and 2 appetizers since we were charged full price despite complaining about the food and sending it back. For a place charging such extreme prices, I would expect a physical menu with pictures. Instead, you scan a QR code for the online menu that also has NO PICTURES! This is another overpriced spot with nothing of value to offer. Save your money and go somewhere else!

My experience was not that good there first of all it is overpriced. Second of all I ordered a ribeye steak. It looked like a sirloin steak. I am used to eating nice thick hearty meaty juicy steaks. They overcook my steak. I asked for MR It came out MW Sent it back. They got it right, but I still was not happy with the size of the steak also when we got the bill they charge an entertainment fee What is that all about? We didn’t have a DJ is that something new or is that something all restaurants do in Baltimore I was visiting in hopes of moving to Maryland me and my significant other. I was not pleased with that as well as you can only order off brunch menu when you’re there for brunch, I wanted more options am I a happy customer no will I go back maybe but I would like to give a big shout out to Ida. She was a great waitress. Keep up the good work.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday in December. I would not recommend. This place is very overpriced and they give u very small portions which is ridiculous for the price. I got crab and shrimp fried rice. Very mid. Rice was very dry with no sauce and it was a pile of rice in the middle of my plate with shrimp with the tails still on . When i asked for some old bay or Cajun seasoning they said they had neither. It was a dj playing music so loud that you can’t even hear the person at your own table. Also i could have passed on the birthday dessert. It did come with a glass of wine so that was nice. The only part i loved was the complimentary picture selfie wall.

I think this burger might be one of the best burgers I have ever tried!! It was immaculate, and juicy. It came with truffle fries and they were perfectly crispy. Staff were kind and welcoming and I love the decor. It’s giving chic. Can’t wait to try their other offerings!
