The food was amazing that I forgot to take a picture. I got salmon with grilled vegetables. It was probably the best salmon and grilled vegetables that I had ever had. Restaurant is small and nice. Service was good. Highly recommend.

This was undoubtedly the least satisfactory seafood I have ever had the displeasure of consuming. The gumbo appeared to be overcooked, the wings were dry and seemed to lack any discernible flavor. The only redeeming factor was that I had to season the food once more. The customer service, however, was quite satisfactory. Generally, if one item in a meal is subpar, it is usually another that is acceptable. This was clearly not the case.

My family and I love this place! Its our favorite crawfish spot. Theres a new owner now and they have a new crawfish seasoning called Stephanie style. We tried it and loved it! We couldn’t have enough. We cant wait to go back for more! All of their food is good. You honestly cant go wrong with anything on their menu.

Update: went back for lunch. And first visit was better than second visit. Not sure if it was what I ordered but my poboy was sad. No flavor and build your own. Boudin balls were good. First Visit: Food was good but I wish there was more flavor. The service was not great but we came close to closing so they were doing their closing duties. Loved the quiet atmosphere.

Every single thing was AMAZING. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Drinks were excellent. The service was out of this world. The chefs, Lupe and his brother, did not disappoint. Our server, Erik, was phenomenal!!! We will definitely be back for their awesome happy hour!

When my party of 3 arrived, the waiter Erik D. was very attentive. After we put in our order our and received most of our food, the service started getting worse. We never received our salad and had to tell him never mind because my guest was halfway finished eating. He never came back to check on our table or ask for refills. Another lady saw us looking and asked if we needed something, and we asked for drink refills and to go containers. My guest and I enjoyed our food. My biggest complaint is how they make the payment. They gave me a bill that had a QR code, but I don’t use QR codes. So I took the bill looked at the amount and transferred it to my CashApp card because this is my 1st time at this restaurant, and I don’t like when my card it taken out of my site. So, I had about $5 more than the bill on the card. I got a notification that it was run for the full amount on the card. Then, I get a notification that they are trying to bill an additional $1.21 that was declined. So I added more money so they could bill the $1.21. At this point, no one has come back to the table about the balance. After at least 5 minutes or so, she comes and says the card was declined. So I asked why are they over charging me, and then she gave me the receipt where the 1st amount went through and said it’s a 3.5% non cash fee. I told her that they should make customers aware from the beginning, not after you charge them. I told her the money was already on so she could charge the $1.21 difference. I put the tip, and we left. Of course, I even ended up paying a fee on my tip. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to give me a receipt with one price, bill me something different, and then give me the receipt telling me that I will be billed extra for not paying with cash. My guest were both in their 80’s and don’t understand QR coded and all of that. I probably wouldn’t go back personally unless they want to go back, but I will definitely bring cash.

Update: I recognized a difference in food quality but thought it was perhaps just an ‘off’ day. Did find out tonight there’s a new owner and I’m sure a new cook too then. Weeks ago, I reordered the Chilean sea bass and it just didn’t taste the same as I described in my first review- it wasn’t as flaky or soft and was drenched in oil. I could hardly finish the veggies because they were soaked in so much oil. Went back tonight and decided to give their red snapper a chance. Tasted a bit too dry and not very flavorful. Quality of ingredients has gone down tremendously. Raw oysters were still good, but hard to mess those up unless you don’t store them properly. There were about 5 to 6 tables around dinner time, but only one waitress. Whoever bought this place from the old owner seems to be taking shortcuts everywhere and it shows.

We’ve been here twice now and the food has been amazing both times. First time we had Grant and he was awesome, he recommended the avocado volcano, which was very rich and delicious and did not disappoint. The Chilean Seabass was crispy on the outside but the inside literally melted in my mouth! Tuna steak was pretty good, too, but nothing spectacular.

The second time we went, I got the Wed special filet mignon. A little more well cooked than I prefer but the meat was still delicious. Both times we got the bloody Mary and it’s one of the best we’ve found in Houston, yet! We’ve tried both the Houston Gulf oysters and Blue Points, both which are delicious! We’re going to be back for dollar oysters on Monday soon!

Nice place, clean with friendly staff. Wanted charbroiled oysters so decided to try this place. They were not cooked on the shell but in a pan. Beautiful presentation but I think it impacts the quality of the oysters. They were very watery and I missed the char grill flavor. They weren’t bad just different than what I’m used to. The oysters were extremely small and were just ok.

Embarking on my “ONLY FIRSTS IN 2024” journey I found myself at Bleu Oyster Bar and Seafood, a spot that had caught my eye back in 2018 upon moving to Texas yet had never visited. So it took almost six years for me to finally step inside. Upon entry, the cozy interior defied the grand exterior, creating an unexpectedly intimate ambiance that surpassed my expectations. Despite its seemingly fancy exterior, the inside felt warmly homely.

Our party of 11 received a prompt and welcoming reception, even without a reservation. Grant, our exceptional server, elevated the dining experience with professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine smile. He seamlessly anticipated our needs, offering valuable menu insights and accommodating all our requests. Grant’s efficiency and personable approach contributed to a flawless dining experience, striking the perfect balance between presence and allowing us to savor our meal.

Though one in our group wasn’t a fan of the hamburger (an adventurous choice at a seafood restaurant), the diverse menu pleased the majority. Personally, I opted for Devils on Horseback, dirty rice, fried pickles, and onion rings—perhaps unconventional for a seafood spot, but they proved to be delightful choices. The Fried Pickles, Onion Rings, and Dirty Rice were exceptional, though the jury is still out on the Bleu Sauce accompanying the perfectly cooked Bacon-wrapped Scallops (Devils on Horseback).

Would def. return to Bleu, but that will have to be in 2025 as I continue my ONLY FIRSTS in 2024.

We visited this place today for the first time, we wanted to try something different. We had some oysters and scallops, also a Korean beef taco. For drinks we had a sandia margarita and a cucumber cooler. The food was absolutely delicious but the drinks were not too good since they were a little too sweet and they’re all on the rocks, there’s no frozen drinks here. The server was nice and attentive. Here are some pictures of the place, food and menu.
