Very clean inside, open on NYE. First try at yakmein, and if anyone suggests there’s a better version, I would NOT believe it. Well aware of other locations and their infamous history. Yak is a simple dish – udon noodles, protein, onion, dark sauce (not like egg foo young gravy), boiled egg, and maybe ketchup – theirs hit it out the park for expectations. Hot, fresh, flavorful, with tender beef, and had it spicy.
Also ordered a wing & rice platter (without getting wings fried hard) and the chicken was very juicy with a nice crisp.
Busy nights may mean a 30-40 minute wait for food if called in.

I was looking for a Chinese cuisine near Johns Hopkins Hospital. This was a carryout only establishment. Has a good list of menu. It was a clean and well-maintained location near a marketplace. I liked this place cause the food was not salty nor was it drenched in sauce. Overall it was a good place. I would return for more. Do not take Amex CC.

Hands down, best Chinese ever. Girl had chicken and brocolli-amazing. I went for General Tso’s-great normal spiciness but perfect for me with extra hot spicing.

I tried this place twice. The first time I went, I ordered pork fried rice, four fried chicken wings (but actually received five), a cheesesteak eggroll, and a half & half drink. I thought the fried rice had a nice flavor but found the rice to be mushy. The wings were small but tasted decent, the eggroll and drink were also decent.
The second time I went, I ordered the bbq rib tips, a 6″ cheesesteak, and regular fries. The cheesesteak had a good flavor but the bun was not toasted and there was not a lot of filing. The fries were not that good but edible, and the rib tips had a lot of inedible pieces. The menu is not updated so I attached a picture of the prices they have in their store.

EDIT (12/1/23): I just came back a year later to say the food is still good.
My go to place for Chinese/American. The food is good, reasonably priced, great service and the location is always clean. It is a family owned business, and I’m always treated with respect. I absolutely love the half and half, fried wings, fried rice, sesame chicken, chicken cheesesteak, shrimp and broccoli, chicken and broccoli and egg foo yung. Any modifications I ask for, they always make it happen.

My son found this place one day when we were looking for something different and decent to eat. Within the last two months, my son and I have eaten at Blessings Carryout more than a half a dozen times. I must say that I’m very picky about the food that I eat, but their food is delicious. It’s not far from John Hopkins hospital and right across the street from North East market place…
They have a great lunch special menu. Today I got orange chicken with lo mein noodles, and shrimp egg foo yong with fried rice. My son and I shared both dishes and it was delicious as always. All for just $16.50.

I wanted sum Shrimp Fried Rice so my Son went and got me a tray of Shrimp Fried Rice AND baybee it was GOOD. WAY better than wut we’ve been getting and the BEST part my Fried rice had Bean Sprouts in it. I can’t find any other Asian Carryouts that put Bean Sprouts in their dishes (I LOVE Bean Sprouts) I’m going to try other items on the Menu.

It’s become a favorite spot for my Chinese cravings. Liked the Egg Fo Young but loved the Pork Lo Mein. It’s in a great area near the Northeast Market and streets with string lights hanging from porches to trees along the sidewalks The whole area is underrated. I felt safe and with all the mom-and-pop shops around, you can find just about anything.
