Disappointing experience here. Was excited to try as it was my first time in, ordered a smoothie and a sandwich to go and paid including tip- in good faith since I hadn’t received any service yet. As I sat at a table waiting patiently I watched no less than 4-6 orders passed out that were placed after mine in pretty much consecutive order, either by name called or they were brought their food to table so I expected the same. I will say the overall vibe and music were pleasant enough and everyone else around me received really great service and were checked in with. 25 minutes go by, driven by hunger pains I go and ask if I can at least have my smoothie while I wait for my sandwich. The young lady presents both my sandwich and smoothie which led me to assume they had been made for a while and were just waiting there for who knows how long had I not gone up and asked. Before this experience, definitely would’ve frequented this place it seemed like a trendy bar where you can bring your laptop and enjoy a lunch while working. Not sure why my experience did not match those around me but I will say I was the only black person in the place. Smoothie was good and fresh tasting, the sandwich was lack luster as far as flavor but will hold you over if you are hungry as I was. Hard to enjoy the food when you don’t feel that your patronage to that business was valued.
