Good food and nice atmosphere, but the overall service could improve.
The food at Blend Astoria was really good, and the place itself has a warm, family-friendly vibe. However, the service — from the moment we arrived at the entrance to the table experience — could use some improvement.

At first, we weren’t allowed to sit until our whole group was there, which is understandable, but once everyone arrived, the food still took quite a while to be served, even after waiting for two more guests. The staff wasn’t rude, but overall their attitude felt a bit too serious and not as welcoming as expected.

It was still a good experience overall — tasty food, pleasant ambiance, but the service could definitely be smoother and more attentive from start to finish.

After the Long Island City location failed to honor my reservation, Savannah, the manager, completely saved my event. She put together a prefix menu for 23 people the same day, just a few hours before my celebration.

We were given a private room, the food was delicious, and the menu was even personalized for us.

Thank you so much to Savannah and the entire staff for your outstanding service and attention. You truly turned a stressful situation into a wonderful experience.

I’m a regular here because of Savannah; we originally met while I was dining here regularly with my coworkers. Our company hosted its first event yesterday at the Astoria location, and Savannah was a gracious, attentive, and exceptionally patient host throughout. She coordinated the booking, served as our primary server during the event, and acted as the point of contact for anything we needed. It’s immediately clear that she’s an integral part of the restaurant and a true asset to the entire organization.

Had dinner two weeks ago to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The preset menu had good choices, and the food and service were good. However, the drinks were very expensive, and the tip was automatically included, which was a bit frustrating. That’s why I gave the restaurant three stars. ✨

Went there for the first time with my Ol’Lady on Saturday 11/22/25 @ 1:30pm order our food had a tea & coffee while waiting as food was brought to table looked good well cook and nice amount on plate but as we started eating my Ol’Lady took a bite of her food and there was a human hair mixed in her food call waitress notified and her response was do you want another plate brought it to the attention of the male waiter and walk he over to the bar notified another waitress and she picked up plate which we encountered another longer hair stuck to the bottom of plate no solution no apologies,we walked out never again 100% dissatisfied dissapointed. Here are the dishes the hair one was the French with the fruit.

Blend Astoria was honestly a whole vibe. The atmosphere is fun and lively without feeling too crowded, and the service was amazing from start to finish attentive, friendly, and fast.

We ordered margaritas, calamari, tacos, steak & fries, and chicken with rice and beans, and everything came out fresh, hot, and flavorful. The margaritas were strong (in the best way) and paired perfectly with the food. The calamari was crispy, tacos were packed with flavor, and the chicken with rice and beans gave real comfort food energy.

They also have great deals like happy hour and bottomless options which makes it perfect for brunch, date night, or a girls night out. Definitely a spot I would come back to.

The wait service could definitely improve. Waiter was not attentive until it was time for the check.
Could have had over 10 more drinks if service was there. Had empty glasses throughout the time spent. Food quality was great, the portions however were tiny. But the quality made up. Ordered appetizers entre and more apps, but still left hungry. The help service was great, clearing plates , but the service for taking orders was slow, and not overall friendly

The staff were really respectful and attentive, 10/10 service! The restaurant is extremely beautiful inside and it was decorated nicely when I went back in the summer. Food was amazing and came out pretty quick, definitely would recommend the chicharrón de pollo skewers or the pollo a la plancha!

My husband made reservations for Valentine’s Day and paid $90 per person, which was supposed to include one appetizer each, one entrée, two chocolate-covered strawberries, a cup of champagne, and live entertainment. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price.

To start, the “live entertainment” that was advertised was not live at all. It appeared that someone simply connected a phone via Bluetooth and played music. That was very disappointing, especially since live entertainment was part of what justified the Valentine’s Day pricing.

For the appetizer, we ordered the crispy arepas. Normally, when dining here on a regular day, they serve three arepas. However, for this special prix-fixe menu, we were only given two. It was surprising to receive a smaller portion on a night when we were paying significantly more than usual. The food itself tasted good, but the portion sizes did not reflect the elevated holiday price. For $90 per person, I expected either larger portions or something more elevated than the standard menu.

Additionally, my husband purchased the $20 assorted chocolate add-on. What we received was a small tin heart with three artificial pink roses and four chocolates that honestly looked like something you could buy at a discount store for a fraction of the price. It did not feel worth $20 at all.

Overall, the experience did not justify the cost. While the food was good, the reduced portions, lack of promised live entertainment, and underwhelming add-ons made this Valentine’s Day dinner very disappointing. I truly expected more for what we paid.

It’s not a place I’d come back. For a weekday, there were about 6 tables( two 2people each) sitting and the waitress took a while to initially come and take our order. The first drink that came out the lemon still had the sticker on it. The calamari would have tasted fine but the oil that they cooked it in definitely needed to be changed days ago. When our entrees came out not impressed at all. They were a bit dry and lacking flavor. When paying for the bill just be careful. Was just handed the machine without showing the itemized receipt and the tip was already added, I tapped my card and another screen showed that said add tip, they never said that’s above the 20 percent…so just take a look at what’s your paying for.
