As a thriller and romance author, I like to escape from being in front of the computer and Blend is a great place to do it. They offer healthy options for meal replacements when I need something different.
Samantha and Jacob run The Blend smoothie shop right by the UPS Store in Southgate Plaza off Bryden Ave. The interior is upbeat and inviting, and there’s always someone there to greet you. The place gets good traffic. I had a mango blend on this visit and it hit the spot, giving me the energy I needed to push through the rest of the day.
They also have a drive-through if you don’t feel like getting out of your car. I like the holiday decorations they put up in the winter. It adds a nice touch.
As a thriller author, I appreciate unique local spots like this. As a romance author, places like this spark ideas for meet-cutes and awkward moments in my books. Great fun.

My drink was $7 for around 1 to 2 tbsp of the flavor powder and a cup of ice. Very overpriced. It also tasted like dirt and was very gritty. The employees were nice though.

I’m an OTR truck driver and always use Herbalife products but I ran out of my stock on the truck so I’m super thankful for this location! Everyone was super friendly and very helpful with what to pick to drink. Definitely very friendly environment and a must go to place. You will not be disappointed! The strawberry watermelon is amazing 🙂
