Honestly, I’m just disappointed.
I’m from out of town and just thought we would have fun trying out this Mexican restaurant – I should have left when she brought out crushed Tostitos to dip into watered down Pace…….i tried not to knock it, she seemed nice enough.

She food had clearly been sitting in vats all day as it took her all of 5 minutes to get it for us and was damn near flavorless. The chili verde either no meat or it had been cooked down to a green sludge!
It was just me and 1 of my kids and she charged me $47 for 2 meals and a couple soft drinks – then she took my card and pressed me for a tip >:< -
directing me to either put cash in her tip box or tell her how much to put on the card for her tip – I was nothing short of appalled at this point.

I felt swindled and like I actually couldn’t actually trust this person.

Stopped for lunch during Junk Jaunt. Service was fast and friendly. Free chips and salsa, bagged chips and more like a thin taco sauce, were average. We found the meals very good and portions large. I had the pork chile verde, my wife had a chicken quesadilla. Rice and beans were nice. Homemade flour tortillas were excellent. Our only real disappointment was drinks. Bottled sodas were overpriced and somehow both completely flat. I’m not sure how that even happens. Overall a decent meal in a place with limited options.

When we entered my son wanted us to get up and leave. The place could use a good cleaning and upgrade. Things were a little dingy and greasy feeling with cobwebs and all. They do provide chips and salsa. The salsa was a red salsa and the chips were just bagged round chips. I’m not sure what type of salsa though it didn’t taste like it was made with tomatoes. It had a smoky flavor like maybe it was made with dried peppers. We normally devour chips and salsa but barely touched it. The salsa was just not one I like. We asked for water but didn’t drink it because my sons water looked like it had oil on top. You know like the little rainbow from oil that you see in puddles after it rains. For two meals and drinks it was $40.00. I got the chimichanga meal for $12.50 . It was smothered in a red sausage and made with ground beef. I thought I would be shredded beef so I was surprised. Every place is different so I should have asked. Chimichangas are like a deep fried burrito, this one didn’t seem like it had been deep fried but maybe because it was smothered in red sauce the shell was softened. It had good flavor. My son got the steak quesadilla with beans and rice.. it was $16.50 to our surprise it wasn’t made with mozzarella cheese it was the fiesta blend cheese which yellow and mozzarella so it was different then we are used to. He said it was still good though. Then the two bottles of soda one 20oz and one 16oz were $4.00 each so $8.00 for two bottles soda. The staff were super nice and the food came quickly.

The waitress didn’t know what most of the dishes on the menu came with. $3.00 for a bottled water. As you can see in the picture the plate was covered in liquid. The guacamole was OK but didn’t look the freshest. This to me was not authentic Mexican food. The chips were store bought and the salsa was more like enchilada sauce.

Food was excellent. I had the pork Chile Verde and it was spicy and delicious. Beans and rice made from scratch and huge portions. I thought at first it was a little pricy but I had enough for two meals, so considering the portions it’s not bad. The gal that owns it is super friendly and sweet. Would definitely visit again.

I ordered some nachos from this place. Chips were stale, most of the plate was day old beans and nasty gas station style cheese. Had no meat and a mound of wilted lettuce. The reviews are decent but it’s no “Mexican” restaurant and definitely wasn’t clean. I called and she said 15 minutes I arrived in less then five and my plate was already made I thought we’ll ok I’ll give it a try. For $12 I expected meat and salsa sour cream and fresher beans and cheese. Don’t waste your time. The counter was dirty and the ceiling tiles above the counter are stained with greasy film. I would be surprised if it passed a inspection.

We were disappointed in quality of food, chips, salsa. We ordered a glass of water and was charged $4.00 per glass. Wouldn’t recommend.

Firs off let me say the food is very flavorful which is the only reason I am giving this 2 stars. The portion size was just ok at best. I ordered the burrito supreme dinner. The presentation was totally unappetizing to look at. The price was also extremely steep. For just the meal it cost nearly 20 dollars. It might of been worth the price had it come with chips, salsa and a drink but all it came with was just the burrito, very watery refried beans and rice. No chips or salsa or even a drink. If your looking for value then blaquitos is not for you. Very pricey with no value and very small portion sizes. Will never order from here again.

Nice owner. One of the few restaurants open in the area. The food is not horribly bad, just lower your expectations, much lower. Nothing hand made or authentic or fancy or gourmet.

Visited last year while hunting. An unexpected treat for 2 Texas boys. Great interior Mexican food. Seafood burrito was outstanding with a frosted mug of Modelo! Worth the visit
