Placed a online to-go order on Sunday August 24, 2025. I ordered a stand alone side of mac and cheese to the tune of $6.00. This is what I received. Im sorry but this isnt a $6.00 mac and cheese. This is more like the $2 mac and cheese when you are upgrading a side item as part of a combo meal. The food was mediocre at best but was not worth the $70 plus dollars I spent nor the additional tip I paid upfront. Not worth it to drive back and get a credit or refund but if I can get a medium or large mac and cheese from Chick-fil-A for between $4 to $7 i expect a $6 mac and cheese from this establishment to be of comparable size. I wont give this business another chance or anymore of my money.

Dont waste your time.
Ordered wings and egg rolls, they put the egg roll in with the wings… they said they’d bring extra ones for then egg rolls being smothered in hot sauce. Mins later the owner sends the server out asking to get the egg rolls back(being with im with teen boys) they tried the egg rolls so they were eaten, server says its ok. Later to come back to say the owner demands them back in order to get new ones…. so regardless that the egg rolls were smothered in hot sauce and no good he still demanded them back. The owner is very very cheap, he doesnt communicate with the customers to even try to make things right.

Food is mediocre and the staffing is too busy hanging out at the bar chatting to take orders. Not a soul in site eating the food, just the staff standing around by the bar chatting. To be honest you’re better off just going to WingStop.

We go to Blaneys all the time but I had to update my review from 5 starts to 3 from last time. Everything started off well but after we got our food our waitress pretty much disappeared. I think it was because she was the only one and it started to get busy, but she only came back to check on us one time and then my daughter ordered a dessert. We waited half an hour after we ordered it(and im not exaggerating I checked the time because we were already there forever and were wanting to leave soon) I finally had to go up to the bar and ask them to take off the dessert because our waitress was nowhere to be found and we just wanted to leave. We are not the kind of people to leave without paying but we seriously considered just getting up and leaving. As we were all standing up our waitress finally came out with the dessert and we told her to just take it back that we already paid and just wanted to leave. She apologized and said they ran out of brownies so they had to make more. She didn’t think to come let us know at all the whole time we were waiting and never came back to update us that it would be longer. It’s unfortunate we will probably not be back for a while. We will go back eventually but we will wait a while to see if they can hire more staff or train the one that was working.

Live in Columbia but the Elgin location has better fries , I ordered a deserts for the 1st time , and my brownie was dry and stale even the microwave would not help if I tried , I called the restaurant they advised , to bring it back in order to recieve a credit , it would the 5 dollars in gas to go back, this was not expected I only ask for a credit for the next time , but this was not good customer service , big restaurants offer a refund rather or not you bring it back even door dash a photo , you want to support the small business , but the business also has to do right by the consumers

This is not your typical bar food. Their sandwiches are outstanding. The shrimp and grits are on point as well. I’ve yet to order anything bad off the menu. Their raw fries are worth your time as well. The service and atmosphere are about what you’d expect. Nothing bad and nothing extraordinary. If you live in the area and haven’t stopped in you are making a mistake. This is a place we eat at quite often.

This is the first time eating in with them but we did take out some food also about a year ago. The burgers are great, best in town. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Cajun shrimp meal. Service was fast and friendly. It’s not a “cheap” place to feed the family but it is a solid choice in Elgin for good American eats.

I went in with my daughter to eat lunch. We already had drinks from the gas station so in order to keep them cold, we brought them in with us and figured we could just drink what we had. Waitress automatically told us that we couldn’t have drinks there and that they sold drinks. Upon her saying that, my daughter asked her why not. She explained it, and I put our drinks up and ordered water. After ordering the water, I told her that we were ready to order our food. Waitress said that she would come back to get our order after getting the water. When she came back out, she had the owner behind her Looking over us. Wasn’t really sure why because we had Done what she had asked. I did not take them back out to the truck as it was a hot day, and I didn’t want to ruin perfectly good drinks that we had just purchased. But we did put them up. When she came back to get our food order, I asked her Who the fella was that had come out with her. Upon asking, she decided that she was going to pick our menus up off the table and ask us to leave. I was not loud or rude to her, but was legitimately curious as to why she felt the need to bring the owner out since we had done what she asked. She snatched the menu out of my daughter‘s hand and said that she wasn’t doing this, and that we needed to leave. Not only do you not treat customers that way, you don’t treat people that way. Much less a child. I don’t think I’m the only parent who would’ve been angry with their child being treated that way. My family and my extended family won’t be going back. The food is decent, but overpriced, but the customer service is atrocious. I’ve never treated a customer or anyone that I’ve worked with like that, nor have I ever been treated in such a manner.
