We walked to Blake’s Lotaburger from the family camp on base. The interior was pretty empty at 5:30 in the evening. We ordered a Lotaburger meal with cheese and a Lotaburger New Mexico style. We thought the burgers were good, with the Lotaburger similar in style to a Whatabuger. Being from out of state, I thought the New Mexico style had just the right amount of heat from the hatch green chilis. The fries were fine, but had cooled down by the time they were served.
We ordered a Pina Colada shake after our meal. The shake was very good, and even had bits of real fruit in it. Unfortunately, it took about 7-10 minutes to get our shake, even though there was only one car in the drive through and no new customers at the counter.
Overall, we thought this a good, solid meal and would eat here again.

1st time visitor to this NEWLY BUILT “Blake’s Lottaburger” restaurant, located on the (USAF) military installation at Kirtland AFB (NM).
“Blake’s” is a popular local eatery in Albuquerque (NM)!
Ordered the Chicken Sandwich at the Drive-Thru for just under $7.00. Nothing remarkable about my sandwich. Tasted freshly made, but a bit too DRY for my tastes. Needs some type of sauce on it to make it more moist and flavorful. Comparing THIS chicken sandwich to other fast-food restaurant competitors, the Spicy version sold at “Chic-fil-a” is MY personal favorite! Hands Down!
Service seemed a bit slow to me for a Drive Thru restaurant. I could see, maybe, only two Staffers working inside at the time. There’s ample parking for ‘Inside Dining’ customers. (Previously, there was a Burger King restaurant at this same location).
Externally, the restaurant is clean and presentable. The male Staff member at the Drive-Thru window was Super professional and friendly. Excellent personality to represent the Blake’s Lottaburger franchise!

Had the LOTA burger New Mexico style with fries for the first time. Burger was unique with the New Mexican “green chile” flavor added to basically a double cheeseburger.
Skip the fries if you like them salted or seasoned. Eat the fries if you’re watching your sodium intake, since they were pretty plain.
Overall, it’s fast food. So do not expect steakhouse or gastropub burger level.

Service was great and there was plenty of seating available. It is nice to have another option for on base dining later in the evening, especially considering how early the food court restaurants close. Fries were a little under seasoned and the burger was ok. They are definitely working through the kinks of a grand opening, but everyone was busy and working hard!

For a brand new fast food place on a military base, it is pretty good. Burger tastes great, seasoned fries are good and crispy even when getting it to go.
It’s refreshing to have something different than the normal eateries on base.
Recommend going before 11 as it’s the new place to eat and it’s quite busy. Give it a few weeks/months to calm down if planning to go for lunch.

The burgers were good, the service was good and they were friendly. As we ordered they suggested different things to try. We liked it because it was our first time at the restauran. We had a coconut pineapple milk shake what a treat!!

Update: I went through the drive through this week and ordered #3 breakfast burrito with beans. The outdoor menu showed it was $5.99. When I went to pay, it was slightly over $7. When I asked why the price did not match the menu price I was told it was because of the $1 egg surcharge. When I questioned the surcharge (since the price of eggs has dropped significantly) I was told that they were looking at removing the surcharge in a week. Other than this, the burrito was very good but slightly dry. I suggest adding more green or red sauce or provide the customer with small cups of the sauce for them to add to the burrito to their liking.
I decided to give Lotaburger another try today. Today was a 100% change from my last experience. The burger was perfectly made, the fries were excellent and the vanilla shake was just right! They definitely are on the right track! Kudos to their management!
Friendly staff, however, the food was so-so. Onions rings tasted like they were fried in old oil and the NM style burger was not spicy and had a “smashed” appearance to it. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the small strawberry shake. This meal was not worth over $17. I will not be back.

Clean, prices are ok for what you get, onion rings are very good for fast food. I cannot recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich – my was very sad the last time I was here (two chicken tenders that were more like crispy nuggets) – stick to their burritos and burgers.
