We rented an igloo and had such a wonderful time! Madison was our server/bartender and she’s fantastic, a very nice and helpful young lady. Our food and drinks were delicious! A lovely way to make lasting memories.

I stopped here multiple times last year for the fresh fruit, it was sooo good & fresh!!! I know growing your own food can be unpredictable as this is home grown and not treated like the stores…. But everything I bought this year turned out to be rotten 🙁 it’s unfortunate for me that I basically just had to throw money in the trash. 4 pints of blueberries & after picking through, was only able to get 2 pints that weren’t squishy & moldy. Bought 2 dozen of peaches which were hard when we bought them… but the next day, the insides were all rotten. I would love for someone to reach out regarding this :/

We attended a wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! They catered the short rip and some kind of chicken with white sauce and it was absolutely excellent. Some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had. The greenhouse where they hosted the ceremony and reception was temperature controlled, well decorated, clean, and very beautiful.
The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the opportunity to look around the grounds and explore their gift shop. They have a very well diversified business model with lots of things to do and see.

We recently visited Blake’s Backyard for the first time and were looking forward to checking out everything they have to offer.
The atmosphere is inviting, with a sprawling outdoor space, market, and taproom, making it perfect for a casual, family friendly outing. And their outdoor space is dog friendly!
The food did not disappoint—we especially enjoyed the cheese curds, Hot Smash Burger with chips, and Mediterranean Flatbread. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the crafted cocktails added a nice touch to the meal.
However, the service was notably slow, which was the only downside. Despite the fact that it wasn’t very busy, it took a while for our server to greet us, and the wait for food was longer than expected. The staff was friendly and even acknowledged that the delay, but based on other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. Due to the slow service we didn’t have enough time to check out their other offerings.

We visited for a dinner on Friday evening. The experience was really good, but the lacking service brought down the rating a few notches. We had made a reservation with specific requests “to “dine indoors,” and that we were “celebrating something.” We were seated outside. No big deal, it was a nice evening and conducive to outdoor dining. And we could have totally asked and been reseated, so that is honestly a non issue had the rest of the things not been a part of it. There was no acknowledgement made of the celebration either. Again, mostly a non issue on it’s own.
From the time we were seated, it took quite a while for our table to be visited. And after we put in drink orders, the time it took for our server to come back to take the food order took quite a bit of time as well. The feel was not that the restaurant was overly busy, nor that our server was overtaxed with tables. The server seemed more attentive to existing tables in their area, as well as to new customers arriving. It honestly seemed as if the server was avoiding our table. It felt as if we had offended them somehow, but there was nothing my partner nor I can recollect that would have come off as rude or offensive, so this was surprising to us. The dinner was delicious and the drinks fantastic, but the lacking service was somewhat off-putting.

Fun place to buy plants, have a cup of coffee, and indulge on their beyond amazing desserts…I tried the Peanut Butter Mousse Brownie–oh my, it’s the stuff addictions are made of!!! I also bought 3 bottles of wine and a flat of veggies. Check out their unique gifts too!
The young lady at the checkout counter was awesome and went out of her way to be helpful… the staff puts Blake’s over the top!! Also, ample parking…win-win!!!
Highly recommend!!!!

Blake’s Backyard offers a unique charm for wedding events, nestled in a scenic location that provides a picturesque backdrop for special occasions. While the venue supplies a selection of Blake’s own ciders and wines at the bar, guests looking for a broader range of beverages might find the options somewhat limited. It’s worth clarifying with the venue if the drink selection can be customized according to personal preferences or if it strictly adheres to their house offerings.
One critical area that requires attention is the venue’s ventilation system. Even with mobile A/C units available, they struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature during a day that was just in the 70’s. Prospective couples should definitely discuss climate control solutions with the venue, especially for events planned during warmer months.
As for the cuisine, it was satisfactory but may not exceed expectations for those with a discerning palate. The food service is competent, yet it might not be the highlight of your event.
Overall, Blake’s Backyard has potential as a wedding venue but it does come with certain caveats that should be considered and possibly addressed to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.

Great spot, we went on a Sunday around 5 or so not very busy. Had a great appetizer, didn’t care too much for the tomato soup, but loved our entrées. My husband said those are the best fries he’s had in a long time. They’re so different. I enjoyed my Caesar salad with salmon.

We just moved to Michigan from Japan, and we have been exploring looking for a spot to make our date night spot. We have read so many amazing reviews on Blakes backyard, which is why we decided to swing by. We had family fly in from California and decided we would all try it together. We came in at 1pm and ordered, and we waited 1 hour and 5 min to receive our food. Blakes was not full when we came in it was quite slow, and by the time 2pm came along, it was getting busy. We had to ask about how much longer it would take for our food to come out in order for it to come out. When we asked, it came out like 2 min later at 2:05pm. When our food came out, it was cold. We ordered 2 burgers, a bowl, a salad, and a flatbread. The cheese on the flatbread was already cold, as you can see in the picture, when it’s fresh cheese is melty and shiny not stuck on there, so it’s obvious it had been sitting out for a while. The meat in the burgers was no longer hot but warm, and the grain bowls chicken and veggies was lukewarm as well. As far as the salad, it had some old/bad lettuce, which you can see in the photo as well. The waitress did take 10% off the check, which is fine, but the whole point isn’t to get cheaper food. We didn’t ask for 10% off. We asked for our food the way any other customer would, and the expectation was not to be sitting there in a not busy restaurant for over an hour waiting for food to come out cold. We’re over here trying to find date night spots and showing off Michigan to our family members, and we didn’t really have that great of an experience. At the very least the food had flavor, aside from three dry chicken in the salad (picture attached as well) and the other things mentioned, but I honestly don’t think we will be coming back.

What an amazing venue! Had my daughters wedding shower this past Sunday! It was beautiful, and the food delicious. They accommodated for diet restrictions and made sure everything was perfect,
Big shout out to Becky and Kayla the event coordinators, they were amazing and professional. They helped our vision become reality. Could not have done it without them from the minute we arrived they took charge, helped keep the calm and peace for the mother of the bride.
Thank you would for sure recommend for any event.
