What fantastic find for a date night or get out of the house! If you haven’t been here you are truly missing out! Very nice wine selection and our meal was 5 stars all the way and past. Our appetizer was recommended Ka’arge Chicken and I’m soooo glad. The spices on this chicken was so full of flavor. Then my Husband had the Pork Chop Schnitzel that was excellent! Soo tender flavorful and cooked to perfection! I had the sourdough grilled cheese with bacon and mushrooms with the Fall Salald! Once again soo flavorful! Service was sooo great too! Hope you find this place and have the same experience we did!! We will be back!

Update. We dined again at Blaine’s last night and we believe it’s our favorite restaurant in Waco now. It’s so insanely good, I can’t even describe it. Case in point: Last week we dined at a Michelin star restaurant in Orlando—Blaine’s was better. And to boot we only live about 5 minutes away from Blaine’s—we love that it’s in the neighborhood!

OMG. Soooooo good. The wine and food are unparalleled. The NY Strip was perfection. Our server, Evin, was the best.

If you haven’t tried Blaine’s, you’re missing out. Quaint new place off Richland Dr. Just one block off Valley Mills. We started with Shrimp cocktail & the Kara’age (Japanese marinated fried chicken, Ponzu, cabbage). Both were delicious, cooked perfectly & with a beautiful presentation. My husband & I split the 12 oz Wagyu in Mole Verde as it was a large portion. Fabulous. We would highly reommend this dish as well. Shawn was our server & he saw to it our first experience was a great one. The entire staff were very friendly & accomodating. Blaine’s understands hospitality. They’re also incorporating daily specials such as Fish & Chips on Tues & Fresh Pizza on Wed. We’ll be back. Nicely done Blaine.

We moved to the area a few weeks ago and recently discovered Blaine’s Restaurant and Wine Shoppe, and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Waco. The food clearly tastes homemade and made from scratch, and every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding—we honestly haven’t had anything we didn’t love. The wine selection is amazing and pairs perfectly with the menu. The wait staff are phenomenal and do a great job explaining the menu items and offering recommendations, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for a great meal. We’re so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back often!

My friends hosted my birthday party at Blaine’s restaurant. The vibe was a mixture of an old world style bar, an open chef’s kitchen with a few lounge areas and plenty of room to enjoy your dinner. It was a perfect evening!!
Blaine is a talented chef gives you a unique menu with reasonable priced dishes. You also will enjoy the large selection of wines.

The husband and I popped into Blaine’s for a mid-week dinner date night and boy did we leave RAVING over this new Waco Wine Shoppe!!

The current special on Wednesday’s is a sheet pan pizza and full bottle of wine for $45, which we happily indulged in. The pizza was on a focaccia crust, and topped with the freshest sliced pepperoni and homemade marinara. This was easily one of the best Pizza’s we’ve ever eaten (I have traveled to Italy 3 times up to now).

In addition to the wine and pizza, we also ordered the Triple-Cooked Fries which came with a Dijon dipping sauce … fantastic, 10/10.
We ended our meal with a slice of the Chocolate Silk Pie … one of the best chocolate pies I’ve ever had the pleasure to consume, 10/10 ten times over.

Overall this new spot is an 11/10, bringing a new elevated dining experience to Waco!
While the menu is not overwhelming with too many choices, there are just enough to provide a solid variety of different options to be a crowd-pleaser, all within more than reasonable prices. Blaine’s also offers a phenomenal selection of different wines to pair perfectly with any pallet.

Definitely a new locally owned bistro that deserves all the praise and support, and we can’t wait to visit again soon!!

I had the best steak, pom frites and dessert here. It was truly a great experience. I’m a bit of a steak snob and for the last 4 yrs I have not ordered a steak at a resturant, but instead grill/smoke my own. The steak I had here was pure perfection and my wife and I will definitely be coming back multiple times.!! We got there in between lunch and dinner so we were the only ones there, it was nice and a great atmosphere.

Blaine’s is a fantastic new edition to the Waco dinner scene! Great food and great wine to be paired with it, all at a very fair price. We tried the ribeye and the sweet corn gnocchi; both were delicious, but the gnocchi were the surprise of the evening. Something you absolutely must try when you visit. The attention to detail when plating the food is also something you don’t often see in Waco, but it is a welcomed addition to the atmosphere! We even sat outside on the patio with our baby; it was a great experience.

5 Stars — Incredible Value, Beautiful Atmosphere, and Outstanding Food

One of the best dining experiences in Central Texas—especially for the price ($$–$$$). We came for a birthday dinner and were blown away by the quality, creativity, and care in every dish.

The tomato and focaccia salad was exceptional—juicy heirloom tomatoes paired with crispy, olive oil–soaked focaccia, fresh pesto, shaved cheese, and just the right drizzle of balsamic. Bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. The sweet corn gnocchi was a standout: tender gnocchi in a creamy corn sauce topped with crispy shallots, popcorn, and prosciutto—unexpected and absolutely delicious.

And the burger? Outstanding. Served on a buttery brioche bun, it was thick, juicy, and perfectly balanced. The fries were hand-cut, crispy, and served with a bright, herbed aioli that tied everything together.

The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed: checkerboard floors, soft lighting, string lights overhead, and a well-stocked bar that feels both modern and nostalgic. Even the restroom design reflects the same level of care and charm.

Attentive service, a thoughtful wine list, and a menu that far exceeds what you’d expect at this price point. This place is a hidden gem—and an easy favorite. We’ll absolutely be back.
