This was our first stop in “the keys” as we drove from Ft. Lauderdale airport to Key West. (Late September 2025) We were in just after opening, and got a table overlooking the bay. All the seats are covered, but it is open air so expect to feel the temp/humidity of the outside. Our food was good, loved the crab salad and the calamari. Had to get my first piece of Key Lime pie too. It was good but didn’t end up being my favorite of the trip. If you’re in the upper keys and need a bite to eat or a beer, this is a good spot.

We’re docked at the Anchorage Resort and Yacht Club next door and decided to come for a drink. Christal was our server. She was very nice and made some great margaritas. The food was not that great. Fish was too cooked and tasteless, fries too fried and a bit greasy, pasta was overcooked… We were five and nobody really liked what they had. We will come back for drinks.

Amazing experience from start to finish. All of the staff were outstanding, especially Krystal, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Black Water looks incredibly clean and absolutely amazing. Everything was well maintained, inviting, and relaxing. We loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We were in a group and the 18% tip was automatically added in…. but cleverly hidden. A few in the group didnt catch it and left too much tip. The service was mediocre at best. This is the problem with automatically added in tips. I had a fish sandwich and it was decent. Great atmosphere on the water. Prices were a tad high but not bad.

Great hidden gem! It is easy to miss this coming into Key Largo. It is directly off US 1 exit is right near the height of the bridge. There aren’t any visible signs, so pay VERY close attention to Google or you will be making a U-turn (which isn’t a big deal either).
We went the first night and enjoyed it so much we took the rest of our family back the next night.
The picture of the menu is to show prices. The prices were more than Google showed (this was mentioned in another review we read before coming), but they are still reasonable. It would be nice if the restaurant would update the prices online.
