This place was amazing! Bob the bartender on duty pointed my wife and I in the right direction when ordering our pizza. We were looking for a Chicago style deep dish and this was way better. Nitesh made our pizza perfect. The crust was crispy and cooked through perfectly. Ample topping with very little grease and the cheese pull was sooooo good!

This bar has a limited menu of a really good deep dish pizza. It does take quite some time to cook a pizza that huge, so be prepared to wait 35 to 40 minutes for your order. When you enter the bar, you order at the counter and they will bring your food to you when it’s ready.

The prices are very good too.
We ordered breadsticks and a deep dish supreme with the original sauce.
Everything was very good. I liked the original sauce better, it was more spicy. Monica liked the Chef’s Special Sauce more, but both were good.
We were only able to eat 2 pieces of pizza!!! It was thick!

We went in early, so there was no wait to be seated. The place is a bit dark but it’s kinda cool. Puts you in the mindset of a true pizza parlor. Service was minimal but you didn’t really need it so much. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and two house salads with vinegrette dressing. The salads were good until I noticed a struggling fly down in mine about half way through eating it. I sent it back with no issue and a sincere apology from the manager on duty. About 20 minutes later came out pizza. Total wait was about 50 mins.
The Pizza was EVERYTHING!! It was so delicious!! Pleasing both visually and in taste!! The cheese pull was easily 12 inches long!!! It was LOADED with meat and cheese!! A single slice was more than an inch thick (deep dish). I could only eat one slice!! Brought the rest of it home in a box and it felt like it weighed at least 2.5 pounds even without the two slices we ate were missing. Definitely going back!! 10/10 pizza!! Go get you some!!

Black folks save your money and time. This establishment has been deemed racist. How do I know? Party of 9 escorted to the back of a empty restaurant. Which no employee came to assist with an order. We kindly exited with money still in our pockets. Considering we greeted the employees upon entering and explained to the attendant at the bar what we were interested in purchasing. We had to confirm with the bartender that they actually gave us the deep dish we paid for. It was easily the shallowest deep dish I’ve ever had. Now, that said, it was not bad pizza, but the bartender was literally critiquing our order and telling us it’s too much food, the slices are huge, “you’re going to take more than half home!”
Also, the service is abysmally slow. They like to act like it’s the customer’s fault for not reading review or believing the bartender, but I stood in line for ten minutes for a draft beer. It’s one guy at the bar handling everything, so even a drink refill takes forever.
Also, don’t give me a shitty attitude when I ask for a Stag while standing next to your decorative Stag sign hanging on the wall. “We don’t have that.” Maybe take your sign down then.
The bottom line is that the pizza was good, if much smaller than advertised. The quality is less of a concern than the prices. The service was not good. I’ve been here twice, and it’s been the same each time. I’ll probably give it one more shot before giving up on the place.

Blackthorn has by far the best deep dish pizza in St Louis. The spicy original sauce with the gooey mozzarella and perfect thickness of crust is a must try. Due to being thick pizza it takes a bit longer to make but well worth it as you can relax in the great neighborhood bar atmosphere with a pitcher of the daily special beer. Pizzas are very filling so plan on bringing home leftovers which warm up great at home.

I have been wanting to try Blackthorn Pizza for a while now, and I’m so glad I finally did—it did not disappoint! The pizza was amazing. My son and I ordered a large, expecting to finish most of it, but to our surprise, we were full after just one slice each—great value for the price.

Went for the first time last night after watching some tik toks on the place. Place was packed but we got a table . Took a minute to figure out to order at bar and then sit but that was on me bar tender said as much but I didn’t catch it. Pizza was AMAZING! We really liked it if your a fan of cheese then this is for you. The original sauce is a bit spicy so when we go back we’re gonna try one of the other sauces. They have 3 to choose from. Worth the wait.
