The Server was great but the meal option for the Birthday girl did not suit her taste preferences, as it was not as seasoned as she likes her beef dishes. The menu options that we viewed on the Stamford Instagram page was NOT the actual menu in house due to change of ownership. There in was our first major disappointment! As such one person did not eat anything but fries because the menu option that they selected (Fried Chicken and Waffles) was not available. Over all some dishes were tasty and well received while some were not. This was a Birthday celebration with a party of six (6).

I stopped by for Happy Hour on a Tuesday night and I got a seat at the bar. I ordered wine from the Social Hour menu and it was a good wine. Spacious spot and I can’t wait to go back to have dinner and try their food.

My friends and I went to Blackstones for the first time during restaurant week and we will absolutely be coming back! Alan was our server and he was a 10/10 professional. Top notch hospitality and service and he is the reason we will be back! (Along with the amazing food.) BTW- best dirty martini I’ve ever had, and also a great espresso martini

I had possibly one of the worst experiences at a steakhouse in recent memory when I decided to go to Blackstones Steakhouse in Stamford. First, the good: the food was superb. On track with any top NYC steakhouse. The fillet was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were properly prepared, and the salad was bright and crunchy.
Now the bad: I have never had such terrible service in any restaurant in Stamford (I have tried over 20 local restaurants so far). It started with the drinks. My date and I ordered mixed drinks. Hers comes AFTER the salads come out. Mine doesn’t come until 15 minutes later, after I remind the server that my drink is missing, after the salads have been cleared away. Bread is not left on the table until AFTER the salads come out, then the bus boy tries to take the bread away not 10 minutes later, BEFORE the steaks come out. I had ordered a side sauce with my steak, but when my steak came out, no sauce was present. I waited 5 minutes to make sure it wasn’t coming out separately, then asked my server where my sauce was. Honestly, the service was closer to what I would expect at Waffle House, where my check will be $25 for 2 people, not a steakhouse where the check is easily $200-300 for 2 people. I will not be coming back. For the same price I can eat at a NYC steakhouse where I am treated commensurate with the cost of the meal.

Amazing. I couldn’t be more please. Chef Ralph is an artist when it comes to food. From flavors to presentation. But on top of it, one of my favorite bartenders is David. He makes well crafted drinks, and has been doing so for 20 + years. If you haven’t been here, yet, you’re missing out.

Christmas Eve at Blackstones with my family was delicious! Wild king salmon, filet mignon, chicken Marsala, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, asparagus, all paired with a Caymus 50. Anniversary bottle. We enjoyed our holiday thanks to all the staff who worked together to provide a great service. Only critique is that there was no music so it was a bit less jolly for the holiday.

My fiance and I came here on Friday night and had a lovely experience with Allen as our server! He was kind, considerate, and went above and beyond to explain things to us and ensure we had a flawless dining experience. We shared the calamari (best I’ve had! They bread it fresh to order), tomahawk steak for two (served so beautifully), and I had the lychee martini which was delicious. We would definitely come back here again.

I hate to write a negative review, but our experience was very poor on New Years Eve. The service was incredibly slow. There was no hostess to seat us for our reservation and we had to go search for someone to be seated. After being seated, we were not given water or a drink menu for over 30 minutes. Anytime we requested something (refill, sauce on side) we needed to wait at least 10 minutes for that item. We were hoping that the food would make up for it, however were disappointed. Our appetizers and desserts were good. However, both myself and my partner ordered surf and turf and we were both not impressed. The filet mignon and lobster seemed like they were left under a food lamp for far too long. Our meals were very dry And lacked flavor. The restaurant did comp our champagne and apologized for their service, which was appreciated. However, this is not the experience we were hoping for with a $300 bill for 2 people. Everyone around us had poor service as well and we overheard several people complaining of this as well.

Marvin provided absolutely outstanding service! From the moment we were seated, he was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Our drinks were always refilled promptly, our food arrived exactly as ordered, and Marvin checked in at just the right times to make sure we were satisfied. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointed, went here on Valentines day, wanted a 5pm reservation but the host said come eaelier bc we get super busy that time. Came earlier. Nobody was there. Ordered food from a server who didnt know anything on the menu kept having to leave to ask. Porterhouse for 2 was just not good, not seared well, 0 crust and had a weird marinade? Just didnt taste good wasnt cooked right. Truffle fries were trash soggy and just to much goop on them. Told the server he said sorry but didnt suggest an alternative or how to fix it. We left without dessert past 5pm and there was 2 other guests in the whole place. I dont consider this a steak house. Don’t know how they’re in a prime location. But maybe because its CT? Nothing absolutely nothing like blackstones in Melville NY, I hope to god they aren’t affiliated, if so they need to drop them immediately. Dirt
