We come here quite often. We told our friends how good the food is and how we never have bad service here. Well last night made us liars. We brought a bigger party in to have dinner. It’s wasn’t that busy so we expected service to be good. Our server was so bad that we contemplated not coming back. We know people have off nights, but last night was terrible. It took close to 15 minutes after ordering our drinks to get our drinks. Our appetizers came out firs before we even got our drinks. One was the buffalo dip so that takes a little time to cook in the oven. The appetizers were good. When our food finally came out, two orders were wrong and we didn’t have salt or pepper or ketchup on the table. Covid’s over. They should leave that on the table IMO. Didn’t have any condiments that were ordered. It took 15 minutes after the food came out for our waitress to come check on us, but that’s because we had to ask the hostess to find our waitress. Not counting the 10-20 minutes prior after ordering our food. Everyone’s drinks were empty. Two meals were messed up. I needed ranch for my meal. Even after telling her we needed drinks, salt, ranch, etc. it then took her another 5-10 minutes to bring back the ranch to the table because she was waiting on alcohol drinks for our table. The food was fantastic. It also took almost an hour from getting our food to get our checks. Overall experience sucked.

I ordered Brussel sprouts and loaded nachos with beef. Brussel sprouts were great. Nachos were just okay. First time came out wrong, so bar tender had them redo it. Meat was cold, barely any cheese and just okay due to them not draining grease from beef nachos were soggy. I didn’t get a photo of the remake but this is the photo of the wrong nachos missing meat.

My husband chose the bone in wings with the Korean barbecue and boss sauce. Both sauces were really good! I chose the macaroni and cheese and it came with corn cornbread. Both were good and we would order them again. At a previous visit I ordered the deviled eggs and they were great! It’s nice having a semi healthy protein option that most places don’t have!

Enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend yesterday. First visit! We were treated well and with good care by Jim, our bartender, right from the jump❣️ The Cottage Pie (Shepherd’s Pie) a long-time fave of mine, was steaming hot, plentiful, chock full of vegies and ground beef, and seasoned just right. We agreed the pulled pork, tender and smokey, was the best we ever tasted❣️ The cornbread was a knockout with a thin, crisp and sweet top edge . . . so good. Enjoyed an Oatmeal Stout with Raspberry and Caramel, with Fudgie in the title. Dark and Decadent . . . I will be back❣️HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This place needs a complete makeover inside: it looks like they just threw some tables in and chairs and called it good. They need booths and the floors need to be redone. The service is slow, staff often hanging out and chatting rather than brining you your drinks in a timely matter. It should not take longer than five minutes to greet a table and return with drinks. Appetizers took over 30 minutes to get after placing them and main food took about 45. Spent far too long here. It was messy and dirty and the staff is not trained well to be good servers.

I’m reviewing the comparison from what the restaurant was to what the new Blackstone is. I’ve worked my way through multiple menu items. From the Cuban to the pot roast dinner and burgers. 5 star improvement. The service was excellent with Holly and Maddie really being on top of things. Thanks for bring this to Owosso.
