Not awful, but not really that good either. I had the shrimp and grits and the shrimp were awesome, but two few. Not great value either. Slow all around.

The French toast wasn’t really that good either

Having visited this restaurant four times at different times of the day, I can confidently say that, whether they are busy or not, you’ll always enjoy excellent food and attentive service. Their menu, ranging from pancakes to their Ruben sandwich, offers delicious options. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
I highly recommend this location to newcomers to the area or anyone who hasn’t yet experienced it. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot in my list of great dining spots.

First time here, saw people standing outside, but we got seated right away. Waitress was great, order came out quick. Husband enjoyed his shrimp and grits. I enjoyed my omelet with fresh spinach, tomatoes and lots of a good feta cheese, potatoes and biscuit that came with it were very tasty too. A great place to go for breakfast. They have inside and outside tables, plenty of parking in town and it is free until 11 the meter said.

This morning my friend and I had breakfast. She came first and had her coffee. It was the worst service we’ve experienced. I sat for 10 minutes waiting for coffee while the servers were joking among themselves loudly. The server wrote my meal incorrectly. I asked for bacon on the side. She wrote my order so the bacon was inside the omelet. She checked on us once. She assumed, incorrectly, the check was for one. We always pay separately. There was only 2 other tables so the servers were not overwhelmed. Colleen is on vacation and we will not return until she’s back. She ALWAYS give superior service.

Good day to anyone reading this and hopefully this serves as a warning to NEVER step foot into this establishment moving forward… If it was possible to give 0 stars, we would. Mind you, we we are super easy going people and don’t complain about dinning experiences ever! We are from the Beaufort area originally and have family here dating back 50 years. Never in of our dinning experiences have we experienced what we did at Blackstone Grill today.

We stayed at the Beaufort Inn for the night and they provided us with (4) vouchers for my husband, myself and our (2) children in the amount of up to $10 per person for use at Blackstone. Being that we have our puppy with us, we decided to go get breakfast this morning. My husband made sure to ask if that was okay to do with the vouchers and they said that was fine, and that he just needed to pay the difference beyond the voucher $ amount. The total came up to be $59 and change, or $19 and change beyond the $40 in vouchers. My husband was given the option to tip on the $19, but he tipped $15.00 (25%) on a TO GO ORDER.

They did not visually verify the contents of the to go order prior to leaving. My husband walked back down the street to bring back food to our room and after our kids had started eating their food out of their to go boxes, we realized we were missing (2) fried eggs, an English muffin, and a side of bacon. He immediately walked back and attempted to politely explain what was going on to the front desk staff. He was questioned and told that everything was in the bag until he insisted that was not the case. The girl at the front that originally took the order then went and spoke and the Manager and came back and insisted that he needed to go back to bring all of the contents to them from the order to verify! Absolutely insane in itself , but he came back to our room and grabbed all of our half eaten food from our hungry kids hands, loaded it back into the bag, and went back to Blackstone.

They then took the bag back and returned a few minutes later proclaiming rudely, “My manager said it’s all good now” without VERIFYING YET AGAIN. Well upon returning we realized while they did add a box containing the English Muffin and bacon, the (2) eggs were STILL missing! Again, this was absolutely the WORST dining experience that we have had in over 40 years in the Lowcountry!

Update to owners response: My review was in regards to the to go order that was missing several items purchased and how we were treated when bringing this to your establishments attention. We never asked to eat with our dog there, we specifically asked for only “to go” ordering. We were not accommodated in any way, we were interrogated and told we were liars over some eggs, bacon and an English muffin we paid for and tipped on as if we had dined in. The order was not verified before given to the customer and the interrogation left us wanting to warn others.

Staff 10⭐️!! Our lady was awesome!!
Food was a hit or miss. Cajun Shrimp & grits had a great flavor while some other dishes were kinda bland. Coffee black wasn’t great, wasn’t bad.
Parking can be tricky.

Love the food. Great flavor. The portions are huge, plan to share or take home leftovers if you’re a light eater. They’ve got all day breakfast, good lunch options, kids menu, and lots of variety. This will be our go-to next time we visit the area. Clean. Clean tables, clean silverware, clean floors, clean bathrooms. I’ll bet the kitchen is clean too. Staff is friendly and attentive but not bothersome. You might have to wait to be seated. They have an upstairs and downstairs seating area. I hope they eventually expand to the neighboring building.

The service was horrible. I got the wrong food. Had to find the waitress to tell her. She brought the correct food I ordered which was Ice cold. The hash browns were sitting in grease and inedible. We never saw our waitress again. We paid 50 dollars for a cold grease laden breakfast, and bitter coffee.
