Went here for a Galentines dinner with my friend and experienced their Valentines Day prix fixe menu which was absolutely incredible. Every course was so well organized and chosen and the tenderloin in particular was one of the best I’ve ever had! The ambiance was amazing with live violin and fresh flowers on every table. Complimentary Reids chocolate with the bill which was a lovely touch. The prix fixe menu was $95 and additional $14 for cocktails. Will definitely be going back!

Best food I have tasted at a restaurant in quite a while.
We celebrated my daughter’s rehearsal dinner at The BlackShop and we were extremely happy with the food and the fabulous service we received, from the planning stage with Mini to the evening of with the great service from the girls who attended to our party . All the guests had nothing but good things to say. We loved it so much that the party continued on Sunday morning for brunch at the restaurant. The selection and the quality of the food available at the brunch was out of this world. Especially the lobster mac and chees. Thank you so much to the crew at the Blackshop for making our weekend a special one. We will definitely return for other occasions.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Blackshop. The food was fantastic, the drinks were expertly crafted, and the flavour pairings were next level. Chef Ase has created an exquisite menu. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-executed, with bold combinations that combined beautifully. The newly renovated space felt modern and upscale, and the live guitarist made for a romantic and elevated atmosphere. To top it off, the staff were welcoming, prompt and knowledgeable. We look forward to returning very soon!

I enjoyed my lunch here today at the Blackshop Restaurant.
I had the very lovely waitress named Katie. I have had the pleasure on many occasions. She always makes me feel welcome and gives amazing attentive service. She treats me with kindness and I appreciate that very much.
I also love to see the friendly server named Twee. She was very busy but still took the time come over to my table to say hello and to wish me a Merry Christmas. She is also a very great server.
The place always looks great, nicely decorated with many party rooms to host your parties.
My favourite room is in the back with the bright sky lights and living wall.
The food here is always very good. I am a regular so I have been able to try many different dishes as you will see from my photos’s.
Today I had the fish special that was the trout and the schnitzel. The mashed potatoes were so delicious that I ordered another side of them so I could take some home. They were very creamy with lots of chives.
I absolutely love the special course meals for special occasions like Valentine’s Day and New year’s Eve.
The presentation is always very beautiful and they provide good selections to please every one.
My favourite from the regular menu is their Beef tenderloin. They always cook it exactly the way I like it.
I would also recommend the Burger it has a very cool display of smoke when revealed from under a glass. I also love the desserts such as the layered hazelnut cake with the caramel sauce.
I will be back again soon for another delicious meal.

Had a fantastic experience here for my birthday. The waitress was fantastic. Super kind and funny. The food was stellar. Best piece of prime rib I’ve had in my life. It was an amazing night. Definitely worthwhile.

Fantastic food! Our compliments to the chef, Asela. We tried the Atlantic salmon and the chicken mosaic dishes, which were packed full of flavour and cooked to perfection. An appetizer and strawberry cheesecake dessert were paired with a couple of cocktails to finish off the night. We could not have asked for anything more. Wonderful service. We will definitely return for another evening out at this establishment in the future.

My husband said it tastes like Michelin fine dining! Wow .. I feel as if it was like how eating at the Keg Mansion in downtown Toronto back in the 80s. The service was top notch and Tanya is a professional! . When my wine glass was low she magically and silently appeared to fill the glass and did the same to the glasses of our dinner partners !. It is an experience that truely makes going out on a frigid date night completely worth it ! The dinner and company was fantastic! The service was on point and the visuals that artived in front of us was lovely and played with care . We had the steak and the Octopus and the Salmon. The chef really enjoys playing with herbs spices and flavours .. hats off ! It works ! .one small suggestion is that the Salmon with the side of pureed vegetable was too liquidy and was sliding through the fork prongs maybe a little less would be easier to keep on the fork! But the Salmom itself was top notch …our host exclaimed one of the best she has had . The smells in the restaurant dances in the nostrils prior to arriving at the table ! ..now to Desert! Yum and yum. The cakes smell freshly baked. The gelato was supposed to be Vanilla but was actually Chai as we discovered it tasted like nutmegs and only after we asked were we informed of the switch. Mistakes happen but it was still super yummy and we normally do NOT order desert but once again it was smelling so good we had to try our own ! Lovely fine dining.. one other minor question ..why was the fireplace not on during the coldest day of the year ?. That Would have made the sweaters worn by many patrons unnecessary and kick up the ambiance by 10%. All in all a wonderful dining event!! Enjoyed by all and thank you to our most generous Host !

Had an absolutely fantastic Sunday afternoon at the Blackshop. We visited for their endless brunch where our server Randy was so kind and informative to ensure we had the best experience. We tried several of their dishes, the Classic Benny, Breakfast Tostada, Tuna Toast, Grilled Cheese, Cheeto Mac & Cheese, French Toast and Mini Pancake Stack which all was individually, very delicious! The Chef Ace came out to introduce himself to us as well, invited us to his fall dinner debut, which we are now very much looking forward to.
The ambiance of this restaurant was so pleasant, a breath of fresh air that gave us a GTA vibe with the live DJ playing tunes to set the playful energy.
Overall great food, exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back and telling all of our family and friends!
