What a great place! I stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling on Christmas Eve, and it was a great find. Quick self-service ordering, the food comes out quick, and it’s not crowded. I got the spicy fish hot pot, and it was delicious.

I come here often and normally I have really good experiences but this time, the food was so bad. I ended up deciding on getting shrimp fried rice plate. It smelled really great but upon opening my box I noticed a strong aroma yet a very dark unusual rice color. I’ve eaten here pretty often, so I know what to expect. It did not look right but I still continued eating away because I like the food. This go round, I added yum yum on this side which doesn’t typically come with this dish but I still wanted some. It tasted foul, I was not a fan in any capacity. The rice tasted great without the sauce which is why I’m giving it two stars, because even though it tasted amazing, it made me extremely sick later on in the day. I am not sure if it was the shrimp, the rice, or the yum yum but was stomach was in complete and utter turmoil. I hope when I return I do NOT have to experience that again.

The owner is very nice! The food is SOOO awesome. I personally love their pork belly the most, and their spicy dumpling soup is also fantastic. Recently, they have a special event! From what I remember, if your total cost is above $20, you can get a free waffle ice cream. I came from Hong Kong, and I can tell you the bubble waffle is very similar to what I ate when I was young.
If you want to try some authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go! It is not too expensive, and the portions are generous—you will definitely get full.

2019-12-11 Update: Rating increased to four stars. The new cashier was friendly and attentive. Tried their spicy pot. Large portion and reasonable price. Unknown if other dishes remained the same as before.

The noodle soup quality has decreased appreciably: Previous spicy soups full of flavors have been changed to clear broths mixed with spoonful chili sauce. Luncheon meat slices become much thinner than before. Free oranges are gone. Price increased by $2 averagely.
2018-09-20 Updated: rating reduced to four-star: the server at the front desk taking orders was indifferent. No greeting, no words and I could not feel any passion from her about their business.
A newly opened Chinese noodle restaurant. Had the original beef noodle soup there. The noodle is quite tasty and full of flavor. Beef size and portion are huge. The portion size definitely exceeds the expectation of the inexpensive price (~$8). Overall, this place deserves five stars and I will surely recommend it to my friends.
The regular beef rice noodle was okay. Very mild, not spicy.
Roasted beef fried noodles are tasty as well but a little too salty. Stay hydrated.

We had an incredible dinner here last night. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with the pan fried dumplings which were crispy and juicy, and for mains, the Spicy Mala Hot Pot was the best we’ve ever had, perfectly spicy and savory. The chicken and beef were tender and full of flavor.
What truly made the night was the service. The owner, Jackie, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended dishes and ensured our meal was paced perfectly. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and has a lovely, authentic atmosphere.
This place is a gem. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be regulars from now on! Absolute 11/10!!

I came here.I got the general taos chicken, general tao, tofu and vegetable low main. This was amazing proportions.Definitely, can stretch it for 2 meals.Fresh ingredients, fresh vegetables, great pricing.I even tipped the owner! Reset in and it was very clean and efficient.And she has all the sauces!

I absolutely love this place. This is my go to for soups or noodles. I love their portion sizes and pricing they don’t skimp out , you are going to be fed. The meat is juicy and makes you want to order again soon, it’s so filling too.

The worst Chinese restaurant in Blacksburg. The food was merely average and the server was mean. Don’t know what the tables and chairs are for, they told me not to sit there because that was for the delivery. I recommend spicity or hunan king or whatever just don’t come here.

Both my partner and I ordered beef hot pots. We arrived 1.5 hours before close and had called before coming. No one was dining in, the tables were dirty and the woman who “greeted” us wasn’t friendly almost at all. We said we’d be dining in ( BECAUSE WE WANTED A HOT POT WHICH IS SUPPOSED COME IN A POT! WITH A VARIETY OF VEGGIES AND THE MEAT OR WHATEVER TYPE YOU PAY FOR ON THE SIDE). YEAH, NOPE! Not what we got! Not only was the customer service rude and we paid before eating even though we dined in; but! They served our “HOTPOT” in a Styrofoam takeout box and I picked it up from the counter! AND! NOOO BROTH! This is NOT authentic food. It’s almost like they assumed we were ignorant and didn’t know what a hot pot would be. I’m a HUGE foodie and LOVE and respect and seek out other cultures food, especially if it’s a local place. They do not have fountain drinks or Water! And! Not only was it not a hot pot; they also made us feel like they wanted us to dine OUT! Even though by the time we got our food we had an hour til they closed. The ONLY reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the food didn’t taste bad at all, it’s just not at all what I ordered or wanted. I was polite and thanked them. But 37$ for 2 “beef hot pots” and a CAN of Mountain Dew and a bottle of aquafina…. Ha.. no I think I’ll definitely not be coming back. I was waiting excited to go for thissss! AND I know what a dang hot pot is! Ugh!!! Pics below.
