Not as good as it used to be. I love the location and atmosphere. Somewhat classy place. Great service. For the price you’re paying, the taste and quality of meat doesn’t track. If you’re asking for A1 at a steak house.. they’re not doing it right. With that being said dessert was delicious. We decided we’d only come back for drinks because they’re tastey & the bar is quiet and has comfy loungers.

First time there. I had made reservations for 5:30 on Valentines day somehow my reservations didn’t show up on there end but the hostess graciously found a spot for us. Our waitress (April or Amy) Was amazing. The salad bar was adequate. We chose to get try the alligator bites which were ok now for the great part. I had a 16 Oz Ribeye with mushrooms and grilled onions and requested it to be cooked med-rare my girlfriend had a 10oz filet Mignon and she had it cooked medium. I can tell you I have never had a steak cooked exactly the way I wanted it unless i cooked it myself til now. The taste was amazing we also had ordered two slices of cheese cake triple chocolate and raspberry both were too die for. It was a little pricey but well worth it. I guess if I had any complaint at all it would be the chairs with wheels on them and they sat awfully low. I would definitely come back here.

Liz our server was amazing. Our $43.00 steak was terrible! It was chewy and full of grizzle. If I was called a “steak pit” and served steak like the one we got tonight, I would be embarrassed. Then we got charged $10.95 to split the same steak with my wife. They said it was for the salad bar which she had 3 bites of salad at. And her sweet potato was still raw when they brought it to the table. Used to be a great place to eat… what happened? Terrible lighting, very dark in the dining room. We were stuck in a corner.

We celebrated my son’s 18th birthday at Blackhawk Steakpit with almost 30 people, and everything was perfect. The service was amazing, and the food is always phenomenal. It’s one of our favorite places for family gatherings, great food, great atmosphere, and a place where we can truly catch up and enjoy time together.

Absolutely horrible waited 2 hours to never get our food we drove 45 mins to come eat. The waitress came to us twice in 2 hours. I had to ask to put an appetizer in. We went to McDonald’s that had better service and better food and thats sad. 4 other tables complained one got a refund. The people next to use was waiting longer than 2 hours and was still waiting once we left. Worst experience ever waste your money they over charge to have someone stand over your food take his hat off and scratch his head all over the food.

Thought we would try for an anniversary dinner. Very disappointed in the quality of the steak. Flavor was good because of the charcoal taste but so grissly that I could not eat. Waitress was great, took the cost of my steak off the bill but it turned me off that I would not return. Best part of my meal was a beer and baked potato as very good.

I always enjoy my steaks here. They are done as I request and the food is also always very good here. The wait staff is excellent and very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion, family dinner, friend get together or just a date night. I will definitely be back.

I took my wife and 1 year old daughter here for dinner tonight. We ordered the fried alligator bites it wasnt until we had already eaten a few of them that I noticed something tasted off they seemed overly chewy. I cut them all open and they were all completely raw in the middle. I said somthing to our waitress and she immediately took them back to get us new ones and said she would take them off our bill I told her not to even bother as we had already lost our appetites. The biggest disappointment to me was that I kinda figured that at a restaurant that charges this much for food the manager would have come talked to us right after this happened to see if everything was ok. It wasnt until we received our bill that I asked to talk to the manager. She did offer to give us a free dessert which we declined because I wasnt looking for a free meal I still paid for our food. It would have been nice if someone came and talked to us after the incident happened. The food was just ok. Its just very sad to see a place with such potential to not put forward more effort.

Prices on the menu were different then what the bill was but only a couple or few per plate I didn’t have time to bring it up $37 for the ribeye but the bill was $41
But what I didn’t like is they charged me for sides but didn’t disclose that. My son ordered fries instead of a baked potato the upcharged me 4.95 , my asparagus was an extra charge but I had assumed that one because it was a substitute.
I’d go back but I’d bring it up if it happened a 2nd time. We were in a rush that night had to get on the road
