Tay’s didn’t disappoint. I had the brisket and ribs. Great smoke and excellent sauce. Waffle fries and coleslaw were good choices for sides. Definitely my happy place for barbecue.

Very enjoyable time sitting outside eating barbecue listening to live music. They reserved a table for us and the host/owner came by and welcomed us. You order at the counter and they bring the plate to your table. Only negative were flies. So many I gave up eating and got a box. So hint go after dark or bring a bug repellent. At different time of the year I am sure the fly population would be less. The meat was great.

We have been looking for a great BBQ place since retiring to the AZ desert 8 yrs ago. We think it has been a long journey, 10 yrs in Colo & almost 8 Yrs here in AZ but we have found it in Blackhawk BBQ. Living in the Santa Barbara area we had the Santa Maria style BBQ tri-tip until we moved in 2005. Went there yesterday for the 1st time & the smoked brisket, chix & pulled pork was moist & had lots of smoked flavor & wasn’t dried out. I spoke with the owner for 5 mins, very nice & polite & explained how they smoke their meats. Looks like a great outdoor seating area. Now that it is cooling off it is going to be a nice setting to relax & have some great food. We will be telling our friends here in QC & to give it a try.

We came here for the first time on Friday and absolutely loved it. Service was quick and friendly, food all had a great flavor, and we loved the live music, open seating format and fun atmosphere. Overall an awesome experience. The next day somebody was talking to me about having a barbecue and I suddenly found myself craving more ribs. We will definitely be back!

This place is awesome. Such a welcoming and warm atmosphere. We legit ordered pretty much everything on the menu . We’ve heard amazing things about Blackhawk, and finally made it out to see if they lived up to their reputation, and they did NOT disappoint! The staff is wonderful. The food is so dang good and the owner John and his son brought our food out and introduced themselves. We will definitely be coming back with the kiddos.

Delicious ribs, staff was so helpful and owner on site checking to make sure everything coming out of the kitchen was done perfectly. We really enjoyed it. The seating area is outside, protected but on cool nights, warm clothes and the heaters are on. We are definitely going back for more!

I’ve wanted to visit Blackhawk for months and we finally decided to go for dinner on 9.11 after seeing the beautiful tribute wall they were designing. It was so incredibly worth the drive from the Foothills! The atmosphere is so comfortable, the staff and owners were friendly & welcoming, and the food is amazing-we absolutely loved everything we had! Our son made friends with a few other boys and they all played together on the nice turf lawn on the attached outdoor patio. My heart needed a dose of what Blackhawk offers; an unapologetic display of love for our country and all who serve to protect it. We’ll be back

I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing owners. We came once before deciding to order some meat for our wedding. Didn’t disappoint. The owners were very accommodating to our needs and so friendly. Second time coming and we’ve had three different employees check on us before we even got our food. We expect a wait because they are only open for BBQ two nights but they are always really on top of everything.
