A nice little pregame bar in The Arena (Gay District) area. Drinks were good, but a little pricey. Food was yummy. Service was great, waiters a bartenders were on top of it. If you want to sit, talk, and get away from all the noise, this is a good place for that if you sit inside. However, they do have outdoor seating in the front if you want to see all the action, too!

Dinner was delicious and the portion was massive! We stopped in for a bite in the early evening, it was filling up but we were able to grab a table. The server got to us right away and was super-friendly. We both got the grilled cheese with some additions. I couldn’t even finish mine, I had a half a sandwich and mound of fries left over for a late night snack. The staff was super-friendly, the music made me want to dance, and I would definitely recommend.

Blackbook has become my go to when I want to do a little work during lunch. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive without being over the top. Recently I have become obsessed with the Grilled Provoleta Chicken sandwich with fries. They are also dog friendly.

Came to this bar on Arenas. 6:30pm. Good crowd. The food is surprisingly fantastic! Had a lucifer burger. It was a mouthful and an explosion of flavors. Washed it down with a perfectly balanced. Also yuca fries equally dynamic. Also had tacos and a good assortment of beers. This place is a treat to come to with friends!

When several locals tell you to go try out a place that has a good atmosphere and good food and drinks, you do it! That’s what I did. I went to Blackbook for dinner and sat outside, under a heat lamp, and took advantage of the beautiful evening. I started with a cocktail, the Joshua Treason which is Junipero Gin, Lillet Rouge, Fresh Lemon & Honey. So good! I ordered Conscientious Objector which is a Blackbook Original Housemade Vegan Burger, Mayo, Provolone, Lettuce, Pickled Onions, Tomato, & Vegan Bun. It was phenomenal! I washed the rest of the meal down with a second cocktail, The Modernist which is The Botanist Gin, Combier Rose, Grapefruit Bitters and Thai Basil. Throw in the fact that it was a fun atmosphere and the servers were fantastic. Overall, three thumbs up!
