The food was very reasonably priced and the portions were ultra Large.
The Prime Rib sandwich was. awesome and the Clam Strips were tender and yummy. Our food arrived very quickly, so no typical thumb twiddling like most other places.

My wife and I were craving some apps and drinks, and after checking out their menu online, we decided to try Blackboard. Really wish we had chosen somewhere else. We are big nacho fans so obviously we ordered the Drunken Nachos. It comes with grilled chicken and some other toppings but we wanted to add some ground beef as well. The waiter, John (who was the best part of our visit) checked with the kitchen and for $5 more we could add the ground beef. Yay! When the nachos came out the first thing we noticed was the lack of toppings. They were missing the grilled chicken which was annoying but after telling our server he quickly corrected it. Unfortunately, the chicken couldn’t save this pathetic excuse for nachos. They used what I can only assume was jarred queso instead of actual shredded cheese and it was ice cold. The chips were also stale. Strike 1. Instead of ordering more apps we decided to go with meals instead. I ordered the fried seafood platter and my wife got the French dip sandwich. While the portion for the seafood platter was huge, it was not good. Not good at all. The fried clams were like rubber bands, the scallops were dry and because the fryer oil was clearly old, had a slightly burnt flavor. The same thing for the fried fish. The batter was a dark brown rather than golden brown and tasted old and burnt. Since the fries were buried underneath all of this fried seafood, they were soggy and gross. My wife’s French dip sandwich was disgusting. The roast beef was rubbery and the au jus tasted like it had been sitting on a back burner all day. Yuck. Needless to say, we barely ate anything. When the waiter brought us our bill we were honest and told him that he was the best part of the meal and that the food was gross. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food. The vibe was kind of cool and I imagine it would be a nice place to come have a drink out on the deck in the summertime. But other than that, we will not be returning. Really unfortunate as we’ve been wanting for try Blackboard for awhile.

We had a fantastic experience at Blackboard Congamond in Southwick! Our group of 10 all loved their meals—everything was delicious and came out perfectly. Tiffany was our waitress and she was absolutely excellent—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything throughout the night. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, which made for a perfect setting. The only downside was the mosquitoes once the sun went down, but that’s to be expected by the water. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

Great place to dine at on the lake. Food is always good and drinks are even better. Portions are pretty large so go hungry. Service is good and attentive. If you’re going on the weekend especially if the weather is nice be patient as the place is usually really busy. All in all if you’re spending a day on or at the lake this is the place to go!

Got the mozzerella appetizer, was no cheese pull whatsoever (so obviously they weren’t even fully heated/hot) and it was tiny. Not worth the money. Also got the Thai pasta and it was ridiculously spicy that I couldn’t eat it and I like spice. Couldn’t even get past the first few bites. Also wanted to get a soup to go, and the waitress wouldn’t even let me get it because she said it didn’t look right. So props to that waitress for saving me from wasting more money.

A hidden gem of Southwick! A great spot on the lake. The restaurant offers 3 bars inside and a full bar on the huge deck out back. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was very good!

Had a really enjoyable dinner at Black Board Congamond. The atmosphere is fantastic—it’s welcoming and has a great buzz without being too loud. We were impressed with the service from the moment we walked in; our server was attentive, friendly, and really on top of things.
The food was very good, and the portion sizes are no joke! You will definitely not leave hungry. Everything our table ordered was well-prepared and tasty.
Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for a night out. If you’re looking for a place with excellent service, a great atmosphere, and good, hearty food, Black Board Congamond is a solid choice. We will be back!
