This is such a charming little cafe with amazing breakfast options! I especially enjoyed the spinach quiche which was decadent and creamy with a perfectly baked crust. We also tried the cinnamon roll which was soft and fluffy as well as the savory pastry which was flaky and filling. Loved this as a stop to grab some pastries to-go and save for tomorrow’s breakfast.

I read about this bakery in a visitor’s guide and I see why – it’s cute and the service is friendly. The real kicker for me though was the vegan chocolate applesauce cake slice I had. It was unbelievably moist, not too sweet, and had a great flavor. It was also just a bonus to find a vegan option for food since I was expecting to only be able to get a beverage here. The cake slice pairs well with espresso so I recommend treating yourself to both. Their espresso was good too – bold, rich, not burnt tasting like some places I’ve tried.

Ummmmm absolutely best mocha I’ve had in the PNW. Also tried the Vegan Chocolate applesauce slice and the “lady Yum”. Reasonable prices and such nice people! 10/10 recommend adding this to a stop on your bainbridge trip

Seriously, they get my order wrong almost 1/2 the time, then I get attitude. Surly bunch. The toast and jam are very good and that’s the only reason I go from time to time. Coffee is okay…the barista cranks it out like Starbucks (that’s not a compliment!). Trust me, do a search and take your $’s elsewhere.

We lived on Bainbridge for two years and Blackbird was one of our staples. We love their decorated cookies and how they change almost every week, and really enjoyed all the drinks we got there. I’m a tea drinker and love Chai lattes and London Fogs and my husband loved getting their coffee. The toast is also great, and not something I would have ordered if we had not received a tip from another local customer.
