Blackbird Bakery is hands down one of the best bakeries in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. I’m a Southern girl from Knoxville, and every time I visit Bristol I have to stop here. The raspberry cheesecake is my absolute favorite, and the donuts are always delicious. Honestly, everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and really knowledgeable about their baked goods. It’s just one of those places that feels special every time you walk in.

Blackbird Bakery was a new find on Valentines day and I must say it was amazing! They have an amazing assortment of desserts and donuts. The pink almond donut is by far my favorite donut of all time and I am not a frequent donut consumer. I believe there is something for everyone. Even though it was very busy, the atmosphere was comfortable and easy to talk in. Plenty of seats upstairs and downstairs (as pictured). I will be a repeat customer for sure!

Absolutely amazing Bakery! I come here 2-3 times a year and it never disappoints. There are so many different unique flavors of doughnuts and the creme brulee is amazing. They even have gluten free options for my sister. The bakery has many different types of seating including window seats, chairs and tables, and couches. The staff are super friendly and there are so many options. They have many different types of drinks and coffee. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely love this place. I made the mistake last year of checking it out after the smaller one didn’t have what I was looking for. They gave me address and I’ve been visiting the main store since. There’s not much I’ve tried that I don’t care for other than the donuts but I’m picky when it comes to them. The crepe is absolutely amazing. They have several choices for filling as well as fruit. If you haven’t been in your in the neighborhood I suggest giving it a try. The breads and all the treats are so good and the service is well above average. I mean even then the lines out the door and around the block the employees always have smiles on their faces. I’m pictures I have bird bites. I got the pepperoni and cheese ones, there’s also a crepe a few slices of dream cake and lol a donut. (First time trying this donut can’t tell you how it is haven’t eaten yet but it’s a cake donut)

This place is absolutely stunning. Love the older looking decor and huge open space. Its beautiful. However the food? Really just a sad showing. I moved here from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and ive heard great things about this place. Im a chef, and was a pastry chef for multiple years so I gave it a shot with my fiance. She ordered an “Everything but the bagel” croissant and I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Nestie along with a regular Hashbrown casserole.
Everything was a bit sad. The croissant was “just good” to my fiance and I was heavily disappointed with my nestie and casserole.
First, the casserole. Ice cold. Literally didnt even take a bite because I knew it was ice cold? How I knew? I watched the nice lady behind the counter stop the microwave at 45 seconds, so it wasnt finished heating. Again, ICE Cold. 1:30 in a microwave isnt going to heat up a brick of hashbrowns, it just wont.
The nestie? Fine. Super flaky and buttery but also kinda fell apart while I ate. Had to go at it with a fork after a bit because it was too flaky. Flavors are good but id rather eat than wear my breakfast.
I honestly probably wont come back. Ive tried the donuts and theyre great, but this was egregious.

What a great spot to stop before continuing our trip, beautiful environment and lot of sweet choices. Don’t get overwhelmed by the options, the Greek and Bacon quiche are really good savory choices. But my favorite was the Dream Cake, I tried the pumpkin flavor, it was great!

In Bristol passing through for a hike day. Started my morning here. Great, fast, friendly service even when it was busy! They hand delivered my order outside where I sat at the picnic tables. So many delicious desserts and my favorite was the sausage, egg, and cheese hot sandwich.
