Lovely restaurant with the best service! We both had the blackened catfish, I had the fries and onion rings with it and my other half had the limed rice and coleslaw with his. The fish was cooked to perfection and very tasty!
You won’t go wrong going for a meal here and the price is very reasonable indeed! We will most certainly be back when we next visit South Padre Island!

What a great meal! We came for their daily special. Today was the chicken fried chicken. It was delicious! It had very generous portions of perfectly cooked chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans that were seasoned to perfection and a piece of Texas toast. The restaurant was very inviting and the waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. They had a really large area outside to eat if it was a beautiful day which also had a bar area. Inside they had several different areas to eat at. It would be a perfect place for a large group. I would highly recommend to check out their specials of the day and to give them a try. Believe me, you will need a to go box.

The food and drink were super tasty. The Mahi Mahi and Salmon fish tasted fresh and cooked well. Kevin, the waiter took great care of us. The restaurant service was wonderful. Really enjoyed our dinner—definitely recommend this place!

I honestly don’t even really know where to start with this review…
It looks nice(ish) from the outside but on the inside it’s an eclectic collection of random taxidermy fish and tiki decor
Our waitress was nice but when asked what she recommended, she didn’t really give us an answer and that should’ve been our second clue to find something else.
Our first clue should’ve been just opening the menu and seeing that there wasn’t a lot of items to choose from; which is normally a good thing but nothing sounded good
The third clue should’ve been the sweet tea which was not good and there was a weird aftertaste
As far as food… everything tasted like at one point if was frozen and they just “cooked” after pulling it from the freezer. There wasn’t really any flavor to anything and it was just disappointing
We would suggest maybe trying something else on the island but if you like flavorless tea with a side of frozen food… go for it
Overall, not impressed and feel like we got scammed after we spent $70 for bad food

Delicious!! We tried the mahi mahi and rate it a 10/10! No fishy taste at all! For starters we have chips and queso and crispy crunchy hot wings!

At dinner with our family here on a holiday in South Padre Island . Environment is fun. Great music, lots of decorations, plenty of seating.
Menu has lots of options. Pricing is $15-$25 per person for the most part. Portion sizes are huge and was the best part. Food was really good. Highly recommend the tacos

We LOVE Blackbeard’s!!! We are full time RV’ers and have had some shrimp that was NOT fresh … NOT AT BLACKBEARDS! They let us actually TRY one of their shrimp before we bought the platter FULL of the golden fried goodness. YUM …. and here’s the kicker, I am personally NOT a shrimp lover, but I will eat BOATLOADS of it here!!! Don’t miss this South Padre Gem of a restaurant … BLACKBEARD’S ❤️

Had lunch on a weekday and the food, the service, and the pricing were all very good. The shrimp and the Asian fish were nicely battered and fried. The lunch platters came with cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries, all of which were good.
Ramon did a great job, making a fresh pot of coffee to accompany our key lime pie. He refilled our coffee mugs without being asked and was very attentive overall.

Food was awesome, waiter and hostess were friendly and attentive. Had a party of 5 and we all had a full meal, and dessert for just over $120. Everyone was happy with the food. It was a great dinner. Props to Kevin for not letting our drinks get less than half before refilling. The key lime pie, pumpkin cheesecake, and apple desserts were great.
