Wife, father-in-law, and I had a late (2-3pm) lunch here. I’ve attached pics that include a Thai Tender Melt sandwich, Bulldog Bites, Pub Pretzels, and a Homestyle Meatloaf meal. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of menu items at the time. What we were able to get was pretty good. The pretzels and steak bites were overpriced. Wouldn’t do those again. The Thai sandwich and meatloaf was decent.
Service was very good. I like servers with friendly attitudes, with some level of pride/passion about the restaurant’s food, and who are willing to share their opinion about how things taste. She was great.
The dining area was clean, fairly quiet, and comfortable. The parking lot seems like it would probably get hectic during peak times. When we went it was manageable.

We had an anniversary dinner here and it was incredible. Our food came out well-plated and warm. They offered gluten free pasta at no extra charge and it tasted phenomenal. I highly recommend this location.

While the food was edible, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. People that came in after us, got their food before we did, and when we did, one burger was cooked rare and the bun was soggy, it was ordered well done to begin with. Our waitress made sure to get it fixed promptly, but cooking a burger well done can be done by a 10 year old.
Some.of it seemed like it sat under the warming light too long and the little pieces of bread that came with the meal were so hard you couldn’t even bite them without risking chipping a tooth.
All.in all, we got fed and filled our bellies, but with the reviews this place has…… it could/should have been far better.

We came in hungry with tweens and we got out fill! Great selection on the menu. Service was prompt and food was delicious! This was a great place to stop after exploring. We started with onion rings and loaded tots. I had the salmon sandwich. Everyone had something they enjoyed and we were stuffed by the end of our meal!

Overall, it was a great experience. They were super busy but our server handled it well, and even gave the table behind us their food for free, despite them being rude to her about something out of her control (kitchen not keeping up with tickets). I got the signature Rueben and it was amazingggggg! The sirloin tips appetizer was also super yummy! It was a great spot to stop after a long day of skiing! We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

We stopped at the Black Woods Bar & Grill for a late lunch. We were seated immediately in a booth that had a view of the street. The server was friendly and helped me find a menu item that was at least vegetarian as I am Vegan. The vegan BLT I chose was delicious and made of fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was a little dated but homey. Overall my experience was good and I will return again someday.

Ate there twice in the last week. Just a real gym both in the friendliness of the people that took very good care of us and also in the quality and preparation of the food. This will be our go-to place from now on when we are into harbors and I understand that they took over a former Perkins in Duluth and we intend to try that place. In this tough restaurant time that we’re going through. It’s so wonderful to find a place like this. Kudos to the concept and the people behind the actions.

We had the stuffed tator tots for appetizer, meatloaf entree, turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy, and Reuben. All were delicious! Served hot and nice presentation. Server was attentive. We will return next year when we again visit Minnesota.

Stopped in for some birthday cocktails and ended up getting the fish fry basket – SO good! Everything in the basket was delicious, plate cleaned. A great shareable! Drinks were good too!
