Blackwater Grill is absolutely worth the visit. The food alone makes it a 5-star experience. The chicken tenders are unreal — they use a Captain Crunch batter that gives them the perfect sweet crunch on the outside while staying juicy and tender inside. Easily some of the best tenders I’ve had anywhere. The buffalo chicken salad was also outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned with just the right amount of heat.
Service was quick and efficient, more business-like and straightforward without a lot of personality, but everything came out fast and exactly as ordered. The ambience was comfortable and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a solid meal.
If you’re going for the food, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely coming back.

After years away, some glowing recent reviews lured us back to Blackwater. We popped in early on a Saturday (around 4 pm) and kicked things off with the fried calamari. It’s an impressively generous portion for an appetizer—the plate could easily feed three or four. The batter was a touch on the thick side for my taste, though my husband loved it. The real star was the dipping sauce; it was fantastic and we both wished there had been a bit more of it.
For mains, I went with the Southwest salad topped with grilled shrimp—huge, fresh, and completely satisfying. My husband ordered the BWG burger and declared it excellent: perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The atmosphere remains cozy and welcoming, and the service was warm and attentive throughout.

The food was FANTASTIC. Server was wonderful, sorry thatnI didn’t get her name, because she told me exactly how to reheat my leftovers, which I would have ruined if not for her!!! Res was at 7: 15 for restraint, but was able to sit in bar area! Bravo BWG!!!

This place is very good. Nice choices for entrees. The Pistachio Alfred with Cajun Shrimp was awesome. Large perfectly cooked spicy shrimp. The Lobster Ravioli was delicious. Wait staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

I had dinner with 5 friends.Everything was excellent. Calamari, salsa with chips, chickenfingers and pretzel appetizers were wonderful. All with delicious sauces. I had the salmon bowl which was excellent. The others had Fish and chips, their signature pasta, dish, and burgers. Everything was exceptional, including the drinks. I’ve never had a bad experience. Absolutely love the Blackwater Grill.❤️

Took my family here and we all loved it. Inviting atmosphere, fantastic food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our waitress for the night was also the bartender. She was fantastic. Someone needs to give her a raise ASAP!

The staff at this establishment has always been nice. I’ve gone two times. The first time we had cocktails, dill pickle dip and salads. They chopped the salad up for us upon request. The drinks were good, the male bartender was great, but the food was just OK. I just went for lunch recently, a chicken caesar wrap with truffle fries was ordered as was a shrimp caesar salad. The chicken caesar wrap was gross. The texture of the chicken was disgusting and made the wrap inedible. The fries were OK though the flavor of truffle wasn’t really present. The caesar dressing was good – tasted very garlic forward to me – nothing wrong with that! The shrimp caesar looked delicious, but the shrimp were not cooked enough. Again, the dressing was good but the shrimp needed a bit longer per our preferences. The waitress was nice. It was my first meal out in weeks after an appointment and it completely missed. We won’t be back anytime soon unfortunately.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and it’s been consistently great. I’ve had the Shed Burger, the chicken Caesar wrap, and a few beers, and everything has been solid each visit. The service is friendly, the food comes out well-prepared, and the atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Four of us stopped for lunch on a Friday. There were people but it was not full and were seated immediately. I had the salmon over salad. I really enjoyed it. Salmon was firm but flaky, cook exactly how I wanted it, and had great flavor. It was a good portion and I thought the price was fair. Wait staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable able the entire menu and any kind of substitutions. One mention of not liking an ingredient and she made great suggestions on alternatives. Atmosphere was bright and clean. Tables were a little close but everyone was friendly. The other pics are a chicken sandwich, also looked tasty.
