Such a friendly welcome. Incredible seafood, super homemade burger. Beautifully presented and tasty dishes, you just know that someone has cared about creating it for you.
Our 3 dogs were also welcomed so we ate two nights in a row. Cocktails galore, something for everyone. By far the best food and service we have had all week. Award winning venue… try it!

Absolutely first class meal when we visited for our 45th( ) wedding anniversary meal.
Of course we had to start with the “grounds for divorce” cocktail .
Starters were chilling prawns and scallops. Mains Monkfish and a Burger. Crumble for sweet. All excellent.
Service top class. Conservatory restaurant was quite but it was 2.30 on a midweek afternoon in early March. The bar was fairly busy.

First time we’ve been back to the Black Swan since its take over and have to say what a transformation. Nicely decorated which provides a nice relaxed atmosphere for drinks or dinner. The food was nothing short of excellent, on the expensive side but you get what you pay for in our book.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Thanks again to all of the staff, have a wonderful Christmas.

I recently visited the Black Swan Inn and overall had a really good meal, especially from a vegetarian point of view. Although the veggie selection is fairly limited – just one vegetarian starter and two vegetarian mains – what they do offer is genuinely well executed. I had the mushroom “scallops” to start, which were a clever and surprisingly convincing take on the real thing, nicely seasoned and full of flavour. For my main I went with the veggie burger, which was hearty, well put together, and didn’t feel like an afterthought, which is something you still get in a lot of places.

The food quality across the table was consistently strong. The rest of our group ordered fish dishes, and everyone was full of praise. The oysters, served fresh and also panko-breadcrumbed, were a particular favourite, and the monkfish and haddock both went down extremely well. It’s clear the kitchen knows what it’s doing and puts care into every dish.

My only real sticking point on the menu was the price of the vegan cabbage main. At £28, I’m not sure how they justify it. I appreciate good produce and thoughtful cooking, but that felt a bit steep for what it was. We avoided this option due to the price.

Service was warm, friendly, and attentive for most of the meal, and we genuinely felt looked after. The only hiccup came right at the end when most of the staff seemed to go on their lunch break just as we were trying to pay. Getting the bill took longer than it should have, which took the shine off things slightly. Because of that, I ended up leaving a smaller tip than I normally would.

Overall though, very good food, especially for fish lovers, and solid veggie cooking despite the limited choice. I’d go back – just hopefully with quicker access to the bill next time.

Amazing food you would struggle to get any better, service is excellent and a good choice of drinks. Mussels, smoked sea food and bread board to start, hake, trout and burger main course, writing this while sat in the pub, desserts even better. If you’re in seahouses then this is a place to eat forget everywhere else, dining at it’s best

Beautiful place, staff were friendly, helpful & attentive at the right level, and the food was absolutely gorgeous a really well thought out menu & incredible cocktails I’m still thinking about the Changeling one! We ate mushroom scallops, breaded vegan chicken burger, fries & battered onion rings which I was very disappointed I couldn’t finish as they were so good thank you for a lovely night

Looks quite pricey when you look at the menu but you soon realise why when the food arrives. The Garlic and Chilli prawn starter was amazing. The service from Alfie was so professional and he is a credit to the business. He came and said my pint looked flat and whisked it off to be replaced with a fresh one.

Quality fodder with a great selection of cocktails and plenty to offer on the top shelf.

This pub is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon or relax for a meal after a long walk on the beach.
I think it is slightly on the pricey side but the quality of the food does deliver.

I had a couple of meals and drinks in this place and it was probably my favourite pub in Seahouses.

Gorgeous evening spent at The Black Swan. Scallop dish is an absolute must- cooked to perfection. The new cocktail menu is amazing – the Paddington Bear stole the show.

Restaurant was busy but service was really good. We were in the orangery which had a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
