Social Profile:

East and West collided in 1852, when Matthew Perry of the USA Steam Navy was assigned to open ports to the west trade. Salt water stained his metal ships black as he made his way to Japan and therefore, the Japanese referred to them as ‘black ships’. The story is brought to life in traditional Japanese, Korean and American dishes.

Japanese, Korean & American fare meet Asian-inspired cocktails in a warm, wood-lined space.

This was literally right across the street from the hotel i stayed in for the convention, the sat us down very quick, its Mexican food and it was very good. The service was also good but they forgot to ask if we wanted hot or mild so it was a bit too spicy for me but I was able to remove the sauce from my carne asada
At the end the waiter brought us free cocktails but I forgot to take a photo

This restaurant was a delightful surprise! We hadn’t planned on venturing out, but stumbled upon it while exploring near our hotel. The service was exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The diverse food options catered to different preferences. I savored the Ruman Sup, so delicious it satisfied me completely. My friend opted for the Chicken Teriyaki and raved about it.

If you’re looking for delicious Asian food within walking distance of your hotel, I highly recommend checking this place out!

The quality of sushi is bottom tier. It is good that there are 8 pieces but they are small. The cost does not match. “Everything is bigger in Texas” does not apply here. The atmosphere seemed nice and relaxing. The waitress seemed rushed.
There in inconsistency in communication. I was told at the door that I could not make a To-go order over the phone or in person but I was welcome to sit at the bar to eat.

Placed a to-go order for 3 sushi rolls, waited 35+ minutes (the place was not even 1/3 full). $16 for a roll and they use imitation crab. Gas station sushi has a better presentation. Horrible experience do not recommend.

Berny was so nice and attentive despite it being a busy Friday night. The katsu curry was good even though personally I would’ve liked a little more veg, I loved that it came with rice and miso soup. The curry itself was a little salty, but surprisingly the spice crept up on me, which was nice. My friend got the tonkatsu ramen and loved it! The ngiri was a long wait, but it actually worked out that it was our last bite as it was so buttery and yummy! We come to this area once a year for Fanexpo and will definitely be back!

Went for my Mom’s birthday. Other than the hostess forgetting to check us in for our reservation, it was a fun time. We usually go to the one in Las Colinas so this was a different experience. Similar dishes, different flavor profiles. It was a memorable moment.

Super yummy and our waitress was amazing. She made a great lychee martini and the specialty vegetarian sushi I ordered was perfect.

So came in and got seated right away. It was not busy at all. It took them 30 minutes for just to get water. Host did come to let us know that our server was running a few minutes late. We ordered our food. They brought the ramen, forgot about my miso soup and said my sushi roll was running behind. Ramen was really salty. Sushi was good. We got the check and they charged us for the miso soup, but they corrected it. I wouldn’t recommend it. They have a very limited menu honestly.

Our server Bernie was the same one we had last year when we ate at the Black Ship Little Katana last year and we all remembered each other and his service was immaculate.

Our experience was divine and elevated by the fabulous food and dynamic created by the restaurant staff. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved loved loved our waiter, Bernie. He felt so bad that we asked for like 3 different things we asked for but was able to direct us to other items on the menu that were fabulous. The ambiance was lovely. The food was good. Edimame- chef’s kiss!
