I went to lunch at Black Sheep with a friend and we had a lovely time! I love all the big windows that let a lot of light come in, the decor is very cool, the bar is beautiful, and I love the ambiance.
Our waitress, Mattea, was so personable, helpful, and kind. We really loved her!
For lunch I had the house salad with chicken and my friend ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese- both were excellent! Can’t wait to go back!!

Met a friend here for happy hour (M-St, 4-6) and had an incredible experience. The bartender made me an alcohol free Aperol Spritz which was to die for! I’m still thinking about it! The Meat Board was a work of art, with the honeycomb positioned inconspicuously in the corner like a sweet little secret. The Brussel Sprouts were done perfectly, with the Caesar dressing making this healthier option taste indulgent. This is a great happy hour spot with an elevated, classy feel. I can’t wait to go back!

The host Emma brought me and my friends to our table and gave us water. We were so thirsty, and she was amazing! Our waitress Naitaly was super friendly and helpful! The espresso martini gave me the perfect buzz and it was perfect to start my day with. The hot honey chicken waffle is the perfect link between sweet and savory breakfast food. Amazing experience and staff!

Oh goodness! We went in for weekend brunch! I didn’t know what to order as everything sounded so good. Our bartender/server- Mike was so kind and helpful! And fun! He suggested the mimosa flight and that was a grand slam! The rosemary cranberry – oh man. I could have ordered a gallon! I have been on a quest for good cheese curds. These are so amazing- it sounded a different- to be coated in pancake batter and served with syrup but man! That works! Then he suggested the cheddar, chive, biscuits and gravy. It’s the best I have ever had. He also made a delish Miss- mosa and a double espresso. We left full and very happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend!

We were visiting from Chicago last weekend and stumbled upon this place for brunch, it was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip! The food, the service, the prices, ambiance, the music!! Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding- so outstanding that when I left there and forgot my Prada sunglasses (too many mimosas) they went the extra mile to mail them back to me in Chicago! Special thanks to Mike who helped me track them down while dealing with the aftermath of the flood. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people that work there, all I know is we will be back every time we’re in Milwaukee.

Phenomenal service from Kyle the bartender! Attentive but not overbearing, he sold us on his wine recommendation, made a great dirty martini, and provided insight on the menu. Perfect balance of injecting his personality to our experience and leaving us alone to enjoy it haha it was perfect. The best service I’ve had in years in Milwaukee. Kudos Kyle!!

Black Sheep is more than just a restaurant – it’s a neighborhood hub that brings people together. With managers like Alex and staff like Emily W. and Lexi, the atmosphere is always on point, the culture is always friendly, and of course, the food and drink keep ya coming back. I couldn’t recommend Black Sheep more than I already do to Milwaukee residents and visitors alike. Cheers to many more years of excellence!
