Wow! This place has really great food! I have to say I was very impressed with this place. The pierogis are DELICIOUS and the borscht tastes like something out of grandmas kitchen. The people who work here are very nice, and it’s a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back here!

This restaurant is a Literal Hidden Jem!!!! Even my Google directions had us going the wrong way. But the sign is unique, and I saw it as I drove past and ignored the directions and turned in.
You walk in the front door to a beautiful sign and entry. Then through another door into a beautiful small cozy restaurant. The counter is close to the door and you are greeted and welcomed immediately by the amazing staff and the smell of Polish food. I was very impressed with the design and space they have created. It’s cozy yet spacious and comfortable.
We ordered the soup special of the week. OMG!!! Delicious. My fiance said it reminded her of soups her mother and grandmother would make. The soup literally brought her back in time to family memories. We also ordered the Polish dinner platter. This comes with a beautiful Polish sausage, three perogies, a potato pancake, and the fixins( apple sauce, sour cream, sour kraut). She ate the whole plate without sharing a single bite…. 10/10 from my fiance.
I had a smash burger and fries. The fries are hand cut and taste so fresh and crispy. They use fresh oil and know how to cook a potato!!!! The smash burger was one of the best I have had before. The sauce on the burger was delicious, but the combination of the carmelized burger mixed with the flavor of the sauce and the sweet sour pickles! Wow 15/10 for the burger.
Overall the experience was amazing, the service and food were outstanding. The prices were affordable, and the restaurant was so cozy and welcoming. This is a must try for anyone!!

Black Sheep in Crest Hill is truly a hidden gem. The food was excellent and clearly made with care. I ordered the pierogi plate with sausage and potato pancakes, and everything was spot on. The pierogi were tender and full of flavor, the sausage was perfectly seasoned, and the potato pancakes were crispy on the outside while staying soft and comforting on the inside.
The sauces and toppings brought everything together, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. It felt like real comfort food done right.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to, whether for a casual meal or to bring friends and family.

Black Sheep brought me so much joy from the moment I entered! It’s very comfortable, feels very homey and Polish, and the homemade food was amazing. They also had polka music playing, which really brightened my day.

The food at this place was okay. We went there to try the Polish food. They had a very limited Polish food menu. The potato pancakes tasted a little off to me. The smoked sausage tasted great for what it was. The sauerkraut was indeed sour and appeared homemade. The pierogies were fantastic. I recommend them grilled. I joined their list so they’ll notify me of upcoming specials I’m really looking forward to some of the stuff the cabbage and other traditional polish dishes. Staff was really friendly but I went during the busy time and there was a 20-minute wait for food. They go a little bit light on the applesauce and sour cream for the meals.

Wow! I really enjoyed the pierogi sampler. I can’t decide which flavor was my favorite.
The pork chop sandwich was also fantastic. That house sauce is *chef kiss* and the beef tallow fries!?!! Yum.
We’ll definitely make a point of coming back next time we’re in the area.
Oh!! And the prices are SO reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

Amazing hidden spot.. highly recommended my wife and I came in for lunch and we both were very satisfied with the food and the service..
