Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

The Honest Truth
I hope this is for the correct location, because Google doesn’t tell you the location of what you are reviewing, just the name. If this is for the location on S Arizona Ave in Chandler, Google has the location wrong and directs you a Jersey Mike’s… Black Rock is two doors down, no parking, and the signage is hidden behind trees, not even facing the street. If you are looking for the location on N. Alma School Rd, your in the right place!
This is the largest Black Rick location I have visited. It has the most seating and is more comfortable than the industrial seating of the smaller locations (seats all have cushioning and some “living room” environments). The baristas were very attentive and did not rush, but we’re still quick. Multiple entrances for parking. Drive through included. If your in the area, I suggest this location over others! Drink wise, very consistent with the other locations.

Went again today- drink was not stirred again. This location is 2 minutes from my home and it’s so disappointing.
Drinks are NEVER stirred properly. This is only one of many times our fuels haven’t been mixed- its so disheartening that we literally have to ask them to mix it- when we don’t it’s always handed to us like this.

This was my first time coming here and trying black rock coffee. I ordered 2 pumpkin spice lattes, bacon egg Gouda sandwich, and donut wholes. The food was amazing. I loved the sandwich, you can taste the black pepper it was 1000/10. The coffee was not that great. I didn’t taste no pumpkin, I think they either forgot to add it or gave me the wrong drink. My boyfriend’s drink tasted more bitter than mine and no pumpkin flavor.

Great and friendly atmosphere! Bella was so so sweet and has an amazing personality, I forgot to ask for cold foam, she was so sweet about it and remade my whole drink with no charge, sweetest employees! Love it here.

I like this location. The service is fast and friendly. The beverage selection is great. I appreciate both the iced and hot choices. Today I had an horchata latte. It was amazing. The bakery case has some nice treats. The shop itself is clean and bright with a comfortable and fun vibe. It’s a good mix of high energy and relaxing. There’s some construction going on, but don’t let that stop you. The drive through is open as well.

I walked in & was greeted immediately by a gentleman named canyon, later to find out, he was a manager. He was extremely kind & respectful. I then waited only about 2 minutes to get my drink that was delicious. Then this girl came out into the lobby & started to pick up trash & clean the tables & came over & asked how my drink was. Very enjoyable experience.

I was told by the barista when I ordered that a cup of drip coffee would include exactly one free refill. Upon asking for that refill I was informed that there were no free refills and that refills are only discounted 50%. I will now be walking an extra mile to Starbucks if I ever want to go out for coffee.

I guess we don’t mix our fuels anymore.. I wish I could say this is the first or second, or even third time that this location has given me a drink that looks like this, or a messed up order in general. I would never let this pass through my window and I even had to ask for a straw to stir it after verbally saying it didn’t look very good. First Friday Fuel was a bust, but seems to be all of their fuels nowadays. Or maybe its just this location.

I used to come daily and within the last 6 months slowly started driving the additional 4-5 min to neighboring black rocks. This location lacks consistency. I order the same thing the same way every time and it tastes different every time.
