Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

The Honest Truth
You could tell this location was newer, but it had its own charm. I have been visiting for the past two weeks and have hit 9 different Black Rock Coffee Bars. This one was consistent with the flavor of the others but the service was top notch and very friendly. Probably ranks in my top three for this trip!

Great atmosphere and clean customer area like most Black Rock Coffee Bars. They were very busy on a Sunday morning. However, it took 19 minutes to fulfill one drink order from the time I ordered at the counter. Highly unusual.

Coffee is as good as it gets for a chain. The cold brew is great. We rarely get food, but when we have the bakery items and egg bites have been solid. Service is always top notch, and they move the line quickly. The rewards program is also very good, much better than other chains.

This location in particular… Let’s start with the Cracks and Gashes in the plastic cups EVERY time I go, who’s doin’ that?! (Past 3 month) they hand me an Unmixed drink and it’s always because there are Holes in the cups and it’ll Leak if they stir it and they KNOW it. Second, not all workers are meant for the drive thru, a closed window is better than her staring over my head into the great beyond not interacting after I’ve smiled, just super awkward

Normally, I don’t have a problem here with them making drinks. But, last time on my way to work I got a surprise fuel and told them I don’t like anything flavor that starts with a “P” . Pretty straightforward, but I was wrong.. pretty sure I got a pineapple and peach drink.. idk what was really in it but definitely pineapple, I was on my way to work so I don’t have time to stop and go back for them to fix it…. it was a sad and gross day that day

The absolute worst set up for a coffee drive thru. Too much traffic and not log enough. We were waiting at the 4 way stop so we didn’t block the congested traffic and people don’t care and cut us off to block anyway. There was no parking to go in. This is the worst set up. I will drive a few more miles to the other location.

Gross! Breakfast sandwich had no flavor, was very bland, and microwaved which cause the bread to be really tough, and hard to chew. Vanilla donut was incredibly greasy and I couldn’t take a second bite. Chai tea latte was mediocre, Starbucks and Dutch Brothers make it better.

Been to this location multiple times. Staff are fast, friendly, and welcoming, the drinks are good – not the best espresso I’ve had, but the flavor combinations, sugar free syrup options, and the rewards program make up for flavor. This location is always clean and I enjoy the seating options for working and/or socializing.
