Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

We pulled up to order and in front of the lane it said mobile order pickup. We wait for quite awhile for the car in front of us to get their order. We pull up to order and that’s when we’re told that lane is only for mobile order pickup ups so that we’d have to get in the other lane to order. Black rock already takes longer than most other coffee shops so we left. We already sat in line so we weren’t about to wait another 10 minutes for 2 cars we’d then be behind for having already waited. The girl was very sweet and kind. It’s just really disappointing there isn’t better signage. If it was stated we couldn’t order from there we would have started where we were supposed to.

I pulled up to the drive-thru and apparently I was in a lane i can’t be in of two lanes. One of them is closed for special people. But there was no sign. Just a flag on the road. When I drove around to the other side because they said they only had one iPad they can’t afford two, I had to give her my order four separate times because she didn’t know what was going on and then she did an amazing version of the millennial stare because she was totally confused when somebody ordered a sugar-free Irish cream breve. One of their most popular drinks. Totally confusing. I will not be coming back to this one ever.

I come to Black Rock almost every weekday and the service is always amazing. Mia is one of the baristas I see the most and she is an absolute delight every time. She’s remembered my order at this point!
The entire staff here is ALWAYS friendly, easy-going, and hard-working, which is very much appreciated. The drinks are delicious and hit the spot every time! I couldn’t ask for a better coffee spot!

Bring back the other drive thru, not only is the mobile lane extremely slow and most times very empty but having one extremely consistent long line affects the surrounding businesses. I’ve seen several cars locked in due to the line. The set up just does not make sense. It’s a pain for everybody.

I love the flavor of their coffee beans. The coffee is always made quickly, piping hot and delicious like I like it. Best part for me is that they sell XL sized coffee!!!! I’m yet to have my order messed up here. The Staff are super awesome without being way too in your face friendly. Love the coffee and the people.

They got rid of one of the drive through lines for a “mobile ordering line” I have never seen anyone use it and because of it they create far more traffic for the surrounding businesses making the parking lot terrible and orders slower overall

Was really excited to try BlackRock Coffee for a second time. I tried them for the first time at the grand opening with my girlfriends. We thought it was wonderful and downloaded the app for rewards. When you do that you get a “free med. drink” that’s pretty much unredeemable. I live close to the Fairview location and the 3 times I’ve driven in to get my free drink they’ve had systems down and couldn’t make it. Didn’t even offer to make the rest of my order. This time I’m writing a review about it because I’m so disappointed I will not be back over a “welcome drink”
