Guinness Hound
5-star rating for having Guinness on tap. Decent quality in a veritable Guinness desert (Rome, NY). Small pints, but well-poured. Guinness rating 8/10

If the bartender on Sunday finds it too difficult to serve beer and simple well drinks to ten patrons and take wing orders, then maybe find a different part time job. I would have gladly brought my own kitchen ticket back to avoid the poor attitude.

Man. Place went downhill from 10 years ago. Went for wing night. Used to have to fight people for a table on a Thursday for wings. Its a ghost town. Bartender more interested in her phone. Wings were…. 7/10 decent. Ill try again in 6 months. If they redeem themselves ill update review.

Great bar tenders with excellent food and nice cold beverages in fact I have 3 banquets a year there and they have wing night every Wednesday night and they have NFL Sunday ticket. Great place to watch sporting events.

I was in town, from put of town, and rolled in late, the AMAZING bartender and cook, helped me out! Kitchen was closed but they cooked me an amazing meal and sent me out with a smile! Everyone there was very nice and I am glad I stumbled upon the bar! 10/10

My experience was great! I ordered 20 wings split between bbq and medium garlic. The wings had amazing flavor and the perfect crispness that you would want in a wing. Out of all the places I have traveled, which is a lot.. These wings were in my top 5 favorite. I highly recommend!

The hidden gem of the area, tucked away beneath a Goodyear. It’s not a place you’d likely ever find by accident. The people here…the owner, the other patrons, and the bartenders in this little Cheers-like hole in the wall are probably the best thing about Rome. Was instantly welcomed as part of the family from the first time I walked in. Even though I was in New York, I felt like I was at my local bar back home in Mississippi. The food is well worth the price, and the drinks are probably the best deal you’ll find anywhere–a nice escape after a long day of work! Enjoyed it so much, I came back for dinner every night during the week I was in town. If I’m ever back in the area, it’s probably a safe bet that you’ll find me here.
P. S. – Highly recommend trying the ‘Everything’ wings.

I was in from out of town and brought to this place by family. It’s a fun hang out spot with a full bar and lots of outdoor seating. They’re heavy on bourbon and light on rye… Maybe an East coast thing. After an hour or so my family wanted to go somewhere else but I stayed. Glad I did. The bar was full of locals and it picked up in the evening. Laura is an awesome bar tender! Everyone was very friendly; staff and patrons alike. Their wings with all sauces (I forget the name) is just about worth driving there from San Diego.

The wings are great! I love going with my friends there for wing night! The service sucks though, the waitress will take your food and bring it out and won’t say another word to you or even check in on you until you have to get up and pay! Other than that great atmosphere, I love the outdoor area where you can eat outside, it’s a beautiful thing to have for a little place!

Okay, so my expectations were low … I mean this place is in a basement. Had a drink, the place was crowded, packed with locals on Wing Wednesday. The wings were amazing, service was amazing especially since the wait staff was dashing all over the place. So worth a visit, especially to out-of-towners like myself. Enjoy!
