My husband and I got married at Danfords 3 years ago and it’s our tradition to have dinner here on our anniversary. We also go through out the year and it never disappoints! We went last night for our anniversary dinner and everything was spectacular! We sat right on the water with a great view, the live music was awesome and the service was impeccable! Our waiter, Caleb, took great care of us and even sent us a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary! He was so friendly and made our visit that much better! Also the food is amazing, you have to try the black truffle Mac and cheese, it’s next level.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend and we were both left extremely disappointed. Picked this place on a whim, based off of pictures of course.
It seems like there’s some construction going so the entrance was confusing. Once we made it in, we were seated right away. Our waitress was quick and explained the specials— besides that, first impression was that the water glasses were dirty. Moving on, ordered an espresso martini and the martini glass was dirty as well (as pictured).
Trying not to make a fuss, moved on again. Ordered a calamari appetizer and it was super salty.
For entrees we ordered shrimp scampi and branzino. The fish was just okay, nothing to rave about.
The shrimp scampi on the other hand was probably the worst we’ve had. Both pasta and shrimp tasted old and bland..
Besides the food being subpar, the restaurant was filled with flies for some reason. As someone who dines out a lot, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I would not return.

Was seated quickly without a reservation…and lucked out with a water view…& the sunset- unmatched atmosphere and view.
Water came quickly as did the server who took drink orders within 5 minutes of being seated.
Warm bread w/ butter, olive oil and roasted garlic came out next…that garlic- so good!!
We ordered the chicken Milanese- thin, crispy cutlets…fresh crisp arugula salad on top. Refreshing, light and tasty. Branzino- very, very good- moist, fresh and tasty…the charred lemon- nice touch. Watermelon Refresher- delicious…Espresso martini- perfect.
Dessert review to follow….relaxing and enjoying this view….
We will definitely be back….the place was packed and staff attentive and on point.

We had an amazing meal at The Black Pearl. This is my third time dining there this summer. Our waiter last night was THE BEST of all our trips here. His name was Joe! He was attentive and well versed in the specials, wine offerings, and made excellent recommendations for appetizers and main courses. We sat immediately and our drink order was taken right away. We were served delicious fresh warm bread with a roasted garlic and olive oil dip that was phenomenal. My favorite was the mozzarella steak appetizer with the herb oil and balsamic. My steak was cooked perfectly and the charred broccolini did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning as there were too many dishes for me to decide that I want to try! They offer inside and outside dining and live music some nights! Beautiful view of the harbor and ferry!

My husband and I stopped in without reservations after being drawn by the live music and gorgeous sunset views. Even though the dock was full, the hostess kindly found us a spot upstairs. Our waitress, Kaitlin, was absolutely wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and spot-on with her recommendations. Everything she suggested was fantastic! We left so happy and can’t wait to come back.

First time eating at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The amazing sunset view, service and live music made our night out memorable. Our server Kait was fantastic. She gave us wonderful food and drink suggestions being that it was our first time at this restaurant. She was attentive throughout our stay and we will ask to sit in her section again when we return. I told her that we would be “regulars” now. The live band was an added bonus that we were not expecting. We both ate the seafood dishes-sesame seared tuna and halibut quinoa. Great presentation and taste. The drinks were well prepared.

Wow!! 5 stars is not enough for how I feel about my experience at this restaurant! The food was amazing, although I don’t remember the waitress name. The bartender named Dj was amazing! He was very polite and made the drinks phenomenal! I highly recommend you check out this restaurant and the bar as well!

I had a wonderful experience at the Black Pearl. I have been here in the past and there must’ve been different previous owners because it has been renovated, revamped and is definitely better! Kate was an absolute pleasure to have as a server. It’s been a while since I’ve been served so well, so I had to leave a review. I could not decide what I wanted and she did not steer me wrong with the Rigatoni a la Vodka. She was so attentive and informative, we loved her personality! The food was wonderful and I left so full and satisfied. I will definitely be back and asking for Kate.

They really aimed to please with their customer service. They’re still working out a couple of kinks but minor ones.
The new design aesthetic is beautiful. It’s dark blues and blacks and metallics, just like I’d imagine for something named Black Pearl.
The big beautiful windows with the views of the harbor and summer sunsets are special.
The food we ordered was all hot and crunchy and yummy. We love a good fish and chips – and this one does well (but we prefer proper chips, not shoe-string fries… my Brits understand).
Not losing a star for this – though I was very much on the fence here – the bathrooms. You have to use the hotel lobby bathrooms, and both the men’s and women’s were unkempt, running out of toilet paper, and just messy.

DJ is one of the best bartenders in Port Jeff, Anthony was my server, he was very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions for my specific palate, he recommended the Black Pearl Burger it was very good with the blue cheese crust. I highly suggest you stop by and give them a try. Chrissy is another bartender here and she made me her signature snowballtini and it was phenomenal .
