It was a cute little spot and tucked away in a corner with really good, fresh food and excellent service. Had carne asada steak that was great with good flavor. Rice and beans that came with it were traditional and delicious. They are a bit limited on dessert options, though. Definitely a must try.

Don’t waste your time or money. Thinking this was gonna be a really good place to eat and to be honest, I would keep away from this restaurant. I was so excited to finally try them but when I receive my food all my shrimp were burnt rubbery, the rice was old and so were the black beans my fries look like they’ve been under a heat lamp for hours, the only good thing that they did was a side salad. You’re better off going to Taco Bell to eat Mexican food than this place.

Eat here!! All the food was amazing. The chips and salsa both homemade. Best red snapper I’ve had and at a great price. Even a good sangria. You must try! Service was truly amazing too. The one server was on top of it. Hope it will still be here when I’m in town next time.

Overall, my experience was positive. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find a small restaurant with limited seating capacity. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional cleanliness of the establishment, particularly the restrooms and dining area. While the food is slightly pricey, it is exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend the surf and turf platter or the carnitas plate. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment and encourage others to visit and savor the culinary delights offered.

We came after reading reviews and the reviews did NOT lie! Our bill was a bit pricey but it was definitely worth our spend. We left FULL. The place is small and the only thing that was a bummer was they advertise “happy hour” but it was not the “happy hour” you would normally get anywhere else drink option wise. They only have bottled drinks but they a pretty decent small selection. And my snapper was not the full fish like I’m used to, but it was still delicious. Other than that it was great 🙂

Great new find yesterday in Moreno Valley called The Black Pearl. This place had outstanding seafood.
For my first visit, I tried the red snapper, fish n chips, and surf n turf. The fish was incredible! My red snapper was grilled beautifully while moist and glistening inside with great flavor. The fish n chips were fried to perfection with a perfect batter to fish ratio. They were served with crispy, savory garlic parmesan fries. The grilled shrimp with the surf n turf were good size and sautéed in a delicious butter and garlic sauce that smothered the steak.
I can’t wait to go back and try the fish tacos, seafood tower, aguachiles, and burritos!
2nd Visit:
Black Pearl is here to stay! My 2nd visit was even better than the first.
I came in today because I saw a picture on Yelp of an amazing looking burger. I was heartbroken to find it that the burger I saw was a special from several months before. I showed the picture to my server and let out a sigh. To my surprise, she went to the kitchen and asked the chef if he had the ingredients to make it for me. She came back with a big smile and said he could do it. I was so happy! The burger was phenomenal and needs to be on their everyday menu.
I also had the shrimp burrito. It was loaded with shrimp in EVERY bite and was served with the most delicious aioli that brought it to the next level. I was so glad I decided to stop in today.
Thank you for the excellent food and superior service. I can’t wait for the visit!
