Great ambiance. Went for the first time with some family from out of state. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Not sure if the sauce didn’t agree with my stomach because I got a little sick after I got him. The coffee was great and the bread sticks were amazing.

This is a true hidden gem. I’m glad my friend took me to this place because I would have never have found/known about it. Nestled in a plaza that look like doctor clinics but in actuality have varying types of businesses.

I ordered the Clam sauce pasta in blush sauce with capellini pasta, lunch portion, and it was very good. If this was the lunch version, I’m wondering what the dinner portion would be like because this was already enough for me! I even had to take some of it home as I had leftovers. Don’t let first impressions deceive you, there’s definitely plenty.

As an entree, it was served with a choice of soup and bread. I ordered the shrimp tomato bisque. Taste was good but I was a little disappointed in that they didn’t put at least one shrimp in there. I’m assuming its blended into it, but it would’ve been nice to see shrimp even as a garnish/topper for visual affect.

Their breadsticks were amazing! I think it was the best part of the meal! Perfectly seasoned and tasted even better with their garlic and oil concoction.

Their service was great. Very attentive and pleasant.

Overall I would recommend this place and would definitely return.

I’m not from the area, but I have family in Vineland who suggested we try Black Olive for an early Saturday dinner great recommendation. The inside has a simple, classic pizzeria-style setup, but don’t let that fool you. The people running this place clearly know how to run a restaurant.

We started with a pizza for the table, and it was fantastic easily one of the highlights. Everyone was still hungry, so we ordered dinners as well. My wife and daughter decided to split the eggplant Parmesan, which was absolutely huge. Without us even asking, the staff brought it out already split on two plates.. a small detail, but it shows how thoughtful and service-oriented they are.

All the food we ordered was excellent, and the service was truly 10 out of 10 from start to finish. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

If you’re in the area, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. They’re doing everything right here. Highly recommended.

This is a spot that can easily be missed by people but do not let the humble appearance fool you. We had an incredible experience here and they excel at simple and intricate dishes. There is something for everybody. If the food is good I give a pass for “OK” service, but every single person here is friendly. You will leave in a better mood than when you arrive, trust me!

I’m visiting my kids in the area, and they said this was a great place for breakfast. I was not disappointed. The hostess was friendly and we were sitted quickly. We managed to miss the early Sunday morning breakfast crowd. The wait staff were great at checking for refills on water, coffee, and hot tea. The food was great and just the right size portions. I was delighted with the taste and how much filling was in my omelet. It definitely hit the spot. I would recommend the Black Olive if you want a wonderful breakfast!

Our family was very pleased with our dinner. My chicken parmigiana was delicious and not over breaded or dry, the sauce was delicious as well. My wife’s ham steak the thick a flavorful, she brought home the leftovers. ( it was that good she said) Our 10 year old was unable to finish the cheeseburger and he has a hallow leg. My daughter enjoy her spaghetti. The staff was friendly and engaging. Nice large portions for the money

Pros: I took my Wife out on a date night here and it was a nice experience. The Waitress was very attentive and polite. The bread sticks were good. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was made the way I like , with the sauce light thicker and watery. My wife had chicken Parmesan. She mentioned it being crispy, cheesey and the sauce sweet, which she likes . The chicken dumpling soup was good . When we had dessert, I had Tiramisu and she had the Chocolate Blackout cake. It was the best I have had. The table was clean and the place was decorated nicely for the holidays. The prices were about average for an ” Italian place” in the area. The location is nice with a neighbor Chocolate store next door who closes at 6 pm , so go early if you like to walk over. Parking is good and the outside looks nice and clean . They offer breakfast as well ,so im looking to try that soon. Seems like a good family place. Not a bunch of TVs , which I like .

Cons: The prices don’t match what you see online , they are about $3 higher than what you see. Would be nice if that was updated. Their website isn’t easy to navigate and shows mostly their breakfast options. The place is small , so the tables are tight and a little difficult to walk by. They wouldn’t be able to support large parties without using a big chunk of the tables. Better for small groups.

Side note : I didn’t have chance to check bathrooms , but will next time .

All and all , I would recommend going. Seems like a local staple in the area that many go to.
I’m Beef and that’s where I was.

I was looking for a place for breakfast, haven’t been to Black Olive in about 10 years so decided to have breakfast here. Horrible, blan, plain food. I had scrambled eggs and hash browns/potatoes and a pancake. I understand restaurants can’t use a lot of salt when preparing food but they need to add some kind of flavor to the eggs and potatoes. I was looking forward to eating the pancake since it was really fluffy but when I cut into it, it was a yellowish color and had a strange sweetness flavor to it, could barely eat half of it. There was no amount of salt and pepper I could have added to this food

My mom and I made a 4:00 reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. We arrived exactly at 4 and we’re immediately seated at a cozy corner booth. Our waiter (Ali, I think?) was very quick to welcome us and take our drink orders. He shortly arrived with our soft drinks, soup, salad, and complimentary bread service. Soft, warm garlic breadsticks with dipping oil. (Puts OG breadsticks to shame.) If you’re not a fan of garlic, you might not enjoy the bread, but I loved it. My mom really liked her cream of turkey & rice soup, and I enjoyed my salad.

We both had the turkey dinner. There was nothing spectacular, but everything was fresh, hot and tasty, and the portions generous. It took about 20 minutes to receive our meals.

We got dessert to-go. My carrot cake is in the frig, so I can’t comment on it. Overall, Black Olive was once again, a great choice for dinner. The place was packed! I’m happy to see this restaurant doing so well. They really do put in the effort.
